Welcome to El Toro, where our food is created just the way it's done in Spain (our Spanish chef wouldn't have it any other way!) Literally it can be anything, as long as it is small delicious tasters.
It originated in bars in Spain as small morsels of food to compliment your drink and is normally actually eaten at the bar where a wide choice of ever changing dishes are on offer, and that is exactly how you can eat here at El Toro, or join a group of friends at a table, but be sure to view all the dishes on offer before you sit down!

Services
The Spanish love nothing more than spending time with family and friends and here at El Toro we feel the same. Our contemporary twist on a traditional Spanish Tapas Bar offers you plenty of spaces to soak up (and create) our atmosphere. Traditionally Tapas was a small dish that you enjoyed whilst having a leisurely drink at the bar, that is why you will find much of the specialities of the day displayed behind large glass bar counters.

The drinks are lovely and my favourite was the Mock mojito it was non-alcoholic but you can get it with alcohol. The food is a little harder to decide because the menu is in Spanish (only the food titles) it was hard to know what I was getting myself into. However (me being a picky eater) the chicken tapas was Lovely it came with a blue cheese sauce. Overall it was lovely but the food is picky. Also the staff are very kind and understanding knowing about the picky menu the music provides a very friendly environment as well.

Lack lustre really, poor quality food… wouldn’t be surprised if it was tinned food, or microwaved. Only good item was the chicken skewer (which is plural on the menu yet you only get one). The walls around us were mucky, splatters of food on them and just a but grim. Young female lady just didn’t seem all there at all she seemed constantly confused about everything. There was another server who was a lot better and was generally good actually. The only positive was the cocktails and drinks were nice. Wouldn’t go back and wont recommend.

Okay food, great service. But value wise, I wouldn’t say it was worth it. We got 6 of the tapas items, 6 rum and cokes, 2 coffee’s and 2 deserts. Left with an £80 bill. I may have been a little more open to the bill if the drinks weren’t basically a glass of wet ice, they could’ve been stronger. Couldn’t really taste the rum. You’ll be sure to have a good experience, just may leave with the feeling that you didn’t get bang for your buck.

We had the all you can eat Tapas for a set price which had a really good selection of items. You can keep ordering until you are full. The key staff are very attentive however there were a lot of young girls that seemed to be learning the ropes and needed a little more training...but everyone has to start somewhere! Food was delicious, sangria good too.

A nice eating experience for 2 adults experienced. Restaurant has a respectfully priced all you can eat tapas menu with a range of different options and gluten free/vegetarian dishes to cater for a diverse eating experience. Desert menu is a little limited but we're nice none the less. Staff were attentive and polite. Overall had a positive atmosphere. Enjoyable experience.
