Just want to say a huge thank you to all the team at Therapies on Thames who stepped in to help my mum after a fall during lockdown. Therapies on Thames were so helpful and communicative. From daily emails and updates, to the actual treatment itself they have been wonderful - thank you so much. My mum is well on the road to recovery.
When kindness and professionalism were needed after a hip operation, Therapies on Thames provided exemplary care. Home visits included. A plus point after only one week of recovery. Friendly, professional and great results - i was recommended by a colleague to contact them following a sports injury.

Services
Our company, Therapies on Thames, was founded in 2012 to support elderly people who would like to stay at home safely after illness or injury and improve their quality of life by providing personalised Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services.
It is widely accepted that people - especially older people - recover quicker once they have been discharged from hospital and are back in the comfort of their own home, and this has been more paramount than ever during the current pandemic.

Therapies on Thames offers Physiotherapy at your home. We will help you become independent again following a fall, are recovering from an injury or operation, are living with illness or have a long-term disability such as a stroke. We can help you get your life back to normal and ensure your relatives have peace of mind in all kinds of scenarios.
Our Occupational Therapists support adults whose disabilities, medical conditions or ageing have stopped them from doing the activities that matter to them. They will identify why you're having difficulties with daily tasks, such as washing and dressing, toileting, getting out of bed and preparing meals.
Joint disease is very prevalent as we get older, especially in the main weight bearing joints in the lower limb such as the hip and knee. Previous levels of activity and occupation may determine the level arthritis found in your joints. Other factors could be linked to hereditary traits. Some people can be effected by auto immune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, requiring numerous joint replacements over time.
The fundamental basis upon which Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy are founded is a simple one. Occupation - that is the day-to-day tasks, routines, roles, and activities that we consider part of our personal identity - is vital for promoting well being and general health even in care homes.
At Therapies on Thames, we understand this, and our team of experienced and highly qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational therapists have helped many care home residents and staff in Berkshire and Oxfordshire.Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service in care homes is widely considered to play an essential part in keeping care home residents healthy in body and mind.

I'm over the moon with the work that Therapies on Thames physio team are doing with my father. Not only is he making major progress but he's also enjoy himself with the reassurance and confidence the team are able to support him with. I wouldn't have any hesitations to recommend Raj and his team to anyone who has just left hospital and need of support with rehabilitation.

After a long stay in Icu and a further 3 weeks on a ward in hospital recovering from a major operation, my 84 year old father had a Failed Hospital Discharge. After a gruelling night trying to help my father climb the stairs to bed (resulted in him crawling for an hour), we honestly thought my dad would not survive the night, very breathless and extremely weak, he was bedbound, confined to the bed.
Out of desperation we hastily researched private help, almost giving up until we found Therapies on Thames. From the moment my husband made the call, Raj was extremely reassuring, calm and very helpful

The physiotherapy my mother has had from Therapies on Thames has played an essential role in her rehabilitation. As she recovers from a stroke and major operation, they have continually pushed her forwards, working her hard while all the while encouraging her, building her confidence and praising her efforts. She wanted me to write here about the “amazing difference” they have made over just six weeks. From spending almost all her time in bed (and initially telling them she didn’t want to get up), she’s gone to being up all day long, able to sit up and stand up on her own, to walk with

My father had a distressing and difficult admission to hospital over Christmas 20/21. On his discharge to a care home with my mother, he was unable to transfer out of bed and required a hoist. He was unable to feed himself and was incontinent. He had great care from the Home team, who alerted me as soon as he showed signs of recovery that therapy would be of benefit. The Therapies on thames team responded and were able to interact with my dad so that he was able to begin his journey back. They have been brilliant and he is now able to walk with 1 person and a frame, he needs no support with feeding

We contacted Raj at Therapies on Thames to help our mother who has been housebound since the start of CV19. From the first conversation we have been delighted with the professional friendly manner Raj and his team have.
An initial assessment with family present and a program with Simon for Mum to try to regain her confidence and ability has seen her make such a difference to her quality of life.
She has been able to go out with someone by her side having not been out for almost 18 months. She needs pushing sometimes and Simon manages to get the best from her.
We would definitely recommend the

My mother has received outstanding care from Raj, Bhavik and Sarah. They treated my mother daily for 7 months and continue to do so now that she is back in her own home. Not only has the treatment been fantastic but they have also instilled so much confidence in my mother who lost all of her core strength. She has nothing but praise for them and thankfully follows all their advice now that she has managed to return home. They have proved wholly reliable, very knowledgeable in their field and moreover are lovely people to deal with. I am grateful to them for all the tremendous support we have received
