Services
Cherrybrook Self Catering began in 2008 when we set about restoring and retaining much of the unique character and features of an original 'clachan' - group of dwellings - on the land that we had bought over 30 years ago. We are committed to improving our environmental performance and to protecting our countryside.
When we purchased the land at Rathmore in 1985, this group of dwellings or 'clachan' (clustered house group) was at the end of our lane. The big white cherry tree towards our house and a small stream running across the lane gave us the name 'Cherrybrook'. Sadly the stream is less frequent and the pond dries up probably due to watercourse changes somewhere on lands above us.
Traditional stone built restored cottage close to Dunadry, surrounded by an enclosed private garden, farmland and orchard, is ideal for a relaxing, comfortable stay. It is the perfect base to explore the Antrim coastline and glens yet not far to the attractions of Belfast and on into Co. Down.

The recently renovated cottage with stable door, deep window sills and high ceiling insulated corrugated roof combines successfully to provide a spacious, restful, living area with wood burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage offers 2 bedrooms sleeping 3, with 1 double room and 1 single room sharing a 'wet room' shower/wc with level access.
Comfortable Irish Georgian Farmhouse (sleeps 8) with original architectural features set in its own farmland in rural South Antrim near Dunadry. Elegant cosy family retreat, perfect for one or two families to stay. Private garden and landscape views. Central location for exploring the North Coast Giant's Causeway, Mourne mountains and close to Belfast airports and ferry terminals.
Outdoor Activities for fun day out with friends or children (age 8+). From archery to raft-building, from orienteering to low ropes course, from paintball to giant catapults. The Gardens are a complex living museum containing over four centuries of culture and heritage alongside remnants of the Masereene family dynasty.

We had such an amazing stay at Apple cottage! We cosied up here for a family wedding taking place just down the road. We could not have been taken better care of, thank you for your kindness and hospitality in all the little ways. The great thing about this place is that it feels super secluded but in actual fact you aren’t far from any of the major site seeing spots! It’s also a 15/20 min drive to the airport which is very handy if flying in as we were.
We loved it so much that some family members we recommended to come here, stayed the immediate week afterwards, and also loved it a lot.

I had the pleasure to stay about 4 months in winter season. The place is beautiful and the owners are very warm people.
The place is very quiet and is perfect to rest and disconnect.
The cottage is great and the barn as well. I stay most of the time in the Cottage and the size is very good.
The backyard is a quite enjoyable.
They respected my privacy but kept mee attended at all times.
Both are very clean and you can find everything you need.
