Utilizing unique biomimetic technology allows Vitaplex to rebuild damaged hair the way nature intended. RAV19 Complex reconstructs the damaged areas of the keratin structure by replicating and replacing, in exact sequence and quantity, the 19 amino acids that can be destroyed during chemical services, effectively restoring the hair to its natural state.
Skin Deep Hair Salon first opened its doors in 1986, in a first floor location on the Ridgeway. In 1996, it moved to prestigious ground floor premises in the shopping mall, St. Stephen's Place, Plympton. Today, the salon is still there and has recently (2012), undergone a major re-furbishment. This endorses the continuing committment and passion to give all clientele the best salon experience.
A very comprehensive range of styling products, retailed in the salon, will make sure your style is easy to wear any day of the week! INSIGHT is a complete program of cleansing and treatment for all hair types. With being vegan, organic, paraben free and allergen free it's been a massive hit with all clients.
We understand that sometimes you may have to cancel an appointment. Please give us at least 48 hours' notice, otherwise a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of your service or treatment will be charged. It is very difficult to fill appointments at short notice, but if we do we will not charge you a cancellation fee.

I had my hair cut there yesterday and loved the result, and was amazed that in this awful time that the staff were cleaning constantly..you certainly can feel really safe going there if anyone is worried about going to a hairdressers..staff were luvly too ..well done girls, you are a credit to your profession ..

Have used this salon for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else, all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the stylists are happy to spend time discussing your colour and cut requirements. Nicki has always amazed me with the accuracy and standard of any colour change she does on my abundance of thick, curly hair. A fantastic salon experience 👍

LOVE my hair, LOVE this salon....I've been coming to skin deep salon for about 7 months now, I've moved away from Plymouth yet still travel to get my hair done because I know I'll always be happy with the results, I've had extensions fitted 3 times and they've gone beyond my expectations every time. Lasting up to 4 months without needing maintenance and only 7 falling out in this time, the quality of hair has been perfect and the price is the best I've been quoted in a Plymouth salon. I have been going to SD for about 6 years now, always look forward to my visits (I text my mom whilst I'm there saying 'I'm at my favourite place') I love the atmosphere, the banter the staff have with their clients, I'm always happy with my hair, I honestly couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Its only just a hair cut, it's the whole experience.

I LOVE this place. Nikki's been doing my hair for years and years Stef's recently been doing my partner's hair; both always completely in love with it . Skin deep is lush, everyone is always so friendly and welcoming and more importantly they're all great hairdresser's/stylists! They know exactly what you want and truly know what's best for your hair. Nothing negative to say, recommend this place 10/10!

Love this salon...really nice welcome, great staff, super friendly, really chatty and a brilliant stylist who took their time and made sure I left 100% happy!
From start to finish I cannot fault them, they even give you a head massage while they wash your hair...I’m sold!
Guys, get yourselves booked in!

Love this salon! They are always so friendly and listen carefully, helping me to achieve exactly what I want. They will also show you techniques to be able to recreate the style at home plus they recommend products to help keep your hair in great condition. The lovely coffee while you wait is a bonus as is the relaxing head massage!

Popped in the other day to have a quick blow dry due to water issues back home, I hadn't made an appointment so was just trying my luck! They were extremely welcoming and friendly from the very start.
The whole team felt approachable and they shared a lot of their wisdom with me on how to keep my hair looking and feeling it's best.
The apprentice that washed and blow dried my hair did a great job and was very good at making me feel comfortable in the environment.
