Arena Hair is an independently owned boutique hair salon in the heart of Plymouth, Devon. Owned by Lara and Richard Wintle the salon has been setting trends and delighting clients since 2009. Whilst at the leading edge in trends and fashion, the salon prides itself on listening and satisfying clients by creating effortless and wearable hair that never goes out of style.
Lara has been hairdressing for twenty years. Before owning Arena, she managed the salon for two years and then had the opportunity to buy the salon with her husband, Richard. She did not hesitate, and the salon has gone from strength to strength. Although she really miss's being on her tools, she loves the business side of Arena.
Our services allow ladies and gents to empower themselves, your time at our salon will be relaxing, carefree and enjoyable. Olaplex is a bond builder, preventing breakage and repairs hair structure. Can be added to a colour service or as a stand alone treatment. To get the most from Olaplex we recommend you team it with an hydrating mask or a KM Indulgent treatment, it will compliment it perfectly.
KEVIN.MURPHY, maintain their commitment to the environmental issues that affect us. They create products with a conscience that does no harm to our environment by utilising packaging that is recyclable or biodegradable. Designed specifically for the fast-paced salon, the ECO-HEADS shower head is the first of its kind to deliver BOTH improved water pressure as well as reduced water usage.
Our talented Arena stylists have attended some of the best training courses in the country, working alongside industry hair & make-up experts. I was very nervous for my first time ever having my hair coloured but Jess made me feel so comfortable and helped me choose something that was both in my comfort zone & gorgeous! Came in to see Amy as I was completely at a loss as to how to get my curly hair back to how it used to be, and omg she was amazing! Walked me through every step, showed me techniques, told me the do’s and… don’ts about taking care of curly hair, answered all of my questions and put me totally at ease. My hair has now gone from a slight wave to defined curls with her help. Recommend her 100%. Thank you so much! Xx

Booked a last minute appointment with Jess after being let down (twice! shocker!) by another salon. Jess is literally a miracle worker. She listened to what I was looking for and I feel absolutely fabulous after my cut. Will definitely be going back. I am so pleased with the cut and with the friendly service the salon offers as a whole.

Arena has such a warm, friendly atmosphere. I hadn't had my hair cut in two years and was feeling quite anxious but Jess was absolutely brilliant at making me feel at ease and making sure I got the best result. I love my new hairstyle and intend to return for a colour transformation with Jess, who I highly recommend!

I had my hair cut this morning by Abby and she has done a fab job! I am so pleased. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. It was so lovely and such a treat to get my hair washed (including a… little head massage), cut and then a lovely soft wavy blow dry to finish off. My hair smells amazing and is so soft. Abby was so friendly and easy to talk to. I felt totally at ease and I look forward to having my hair cut by Abby again. The salon is also really pretty, the way it is decorated. I would highly recommend Abby and Arena Creative Hair. Thank you x

Absolutely LOVED my experience at this salon today, i’ve never been before but I will definitely keep going from now on! The staff are super lovely and welcoming, and the salon has a fresh and relaxing vibe. Prices are perfect too as you’re paying for outstanding quality and precision! I usually feel very nervous when I get my hair coloured as I haven’t had many good experiences in a salon chair, but as soon as I met Chelsea I could tell she was going to do an amazing job and trusted her instinct!
