As we are headed into another period of Lockdown we would like to remind customers that we are classed as an essential business and will therefore be opening as usual throughout this period.
We will be getting our usual twice weekly shipments of reptile live foods and we will allow non-essential items to be purchased at the same time as products that are vital for the health and wellbeing of your pets- and yes, this includes your aquarium inhabitants too.We have updated it recently to make it more informative and user-friendly.

Services
Cheshire Aquatics has an excellent selection of pond fish and plants including koi carp and goldfish. Typically held are a range of sizes from 2-3" up to around 16" later in the season (June-August). Make sure you check out our regular posts that inform you about new arrivals or interesting fish that are offered for sale.
Cheshire Aquatics Pet Department includes the best of locally sourced rabbit and guinea pigs together with all of the equipment required to keep your pet happy and healthy. We also stock hamsters; both dwarf and Syrian species which are always popular so give us a call or email us to find out our current stocks.
In addition, we have two 200 litre systems which will be for larger colonies of SPS coral we hope to be able to frag and grow out. It's early days but we are happy the progress that we have made so far. Also newly installed are two 150cm aquaria dedicated to rock substrates. One is home to fully cured and cycled live rock including some nice flat, deepwater and Pukani.
Tropical marine fish have never been easier to maintain in captivity. Indeed many species commonly kept these days are in fact captive bred or cultured and the list of species for which this is possible, increases year on year. Couple the increased hardiness and durability of the available species with the improvements in hardware and system design it has never been a better time to keep these wonderful animals in your home.
Crabs, shrimp and the rest of those many-legged creatures we know as crustaceans can have varied roles in marine aquaria. Some are employed as useful cleaners and scavengers which can assist in the maintenance of a healthy aquarium. They form part of the "clean-up crew" and have a role to play in the prevention of issues and helping to tackle existing problems.

Was looking for large tank fittings and pipework - got lots of really useful advice from very helpful staff.
Been back twice now for more specialised pipe work fittings.
Also got good advice on availability and delivery of bulk fish orders +200. So will probably be back there again in the next month or so. 👍

Went here a few weeks back to get stock for two large new cycled tanks. I had a good wonder around before making my choices only then when I asked for assistance was I told I couldn’t be helped right now because another member of staff was talking in that section..” only talking not serving or selling “ and only one staff allowed to serve in there at any one time. After waiting 15minutes listening to male staff member tell a customer about his own personal tanks I walked out and spent a few hundred pound elsewhere. Awful customer service, I admit it nice to chat to customers but the stand

Good selection of dry goods and a decent tropical / pond livestock selection. Marine livestock is very limited and not a great variety which was disappointing. Whole marine system needed a good clean also although livestock looked healthy. I'd say ok for dry goods but for marine livestock, travel a bit further to one of the major players further north.

Very dissapointed with my recent visit and purchase of a water lilly. Within 24 hours of placing in my pond the water turned into what can best be described as milky coffee. I have had to completely empty my pond a thourough clean also filters and pumps and discovered lilly was potted in clay..which obviously caused the issue. 8 hours of emptying, cleaning, refilling and the loss of 2 orfs and a ghost carp all over a foot in size. Needless to say i wont recommend anyone who cares about there fish uses this place again. I certainly wont be
