The Lodge, owned and managed by Wallasey & West Wirral Scouts, offers excellent modern facilities for a wide range of users, including those with disabilities. Open all year, our self-catering Hostel can accommodate up to 38 people in comfortable en-suite rooms. Free Wifi is available in the Lodge.

The Old School Lodge, originally the 19th Century Village School, was extensively refurbished prior to its opening in 2001. Set in large wooded grounds with a gently flowing stream and a breathtaking view of the mountains beyond, the Lodge is situated four miles from Llanberris and the foot of Snowdon itself.
Welcome to the Old School Lodge, the perfect base from which to explore the beauty of Snowdonia and the Welsh mountains. Our warm and spacious lodge is fully central heated throughout providing a warm haven from the rugged and sometimes cold and wet welsh mountains. On the first floor is a large spacious lounge featuring a TV and games equipment and will easily accommodate all residents.
The Old School Lodge can accommodate up to 38 people. 34 in 8 Bunkrooms, each bunk room has an en-suite bathroom, those upstairs with walk in showers and downstairs feature baths with shower fittings. Upon arrival each bunk is freshly made with pillows and bed sheet, please bring sleeping bags to sleep on your bunk.
The Old School Lodge features a large lounge area on the first floor. The Lounge features sofas/armchairs, LCD TV, DVD player, table football and table tennis table. Balls/bats for the games equipment can be provided to group leaders by the Warden, please enquire about this equipment when you arrive.
The Old School Lodge features a large kitchen suitable for group catering. All utensils are provided along with cutlery/plates/bowls/glasses/beakers etc. A large 6 ring gas cooker/oven, double sink, fridge, hot water urn and toaster are also provided. There is a fridge freezer and second fridge in the dining area.
