Cores are used within grey iron castings to form the internal geometry of parts or undercut areas that cannot be moulded. The machines are used to manufacture the cores in both low and high-volume applications. The range and scale of core making facilities at Chamberlin & Hill allow the versatility to ensure the right core technology is used to meet a products quality and cost requirements.
One of the oldest methods of producing cast iron, cupola furnaces have stood the test of time due to their ability to produce large amounts of iron effectively, accurately and affordably making them ideal for serving the metal demands of Disa moulding machines in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
The complex castings Chamberlin & Hill produce often have internal geometry that is unreachable and unsuitable for cleaning through traditional shot blasting methods. To ensure the unrivalled quality and cleanliness of our castings Chamberlin & Hill operates a unique and state-of-the-art Sodium Hydride chemical cleaning facility.
Our High Speed CNC Machining facility is one of the most advanced in Europe. As a reference site for Scherer CNC Machines, Chiron CNC Machines and Zeiss CMM machines, our CNC machining division has the ability to produce machined components in very high volume and with incredible precision, whilst continuously exceeding customers expectations by delivering on time - in full, with zero defects.
