LOLER is an acronym of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, and in conjunction with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) sets out the minimum requirements for the examination / inspection of lifting equipment and related products. The regulations cover a wide range of equipment used for the lifting and lowering, anchoring or supporting of loads in the workplace.
