We are always keen to provide a warm welcome to new players of all ages who have moved to the area or are looking for a new challenge at a fresh Club. First contact can sometimes be daunting but please be assured we look forward to hearing from you. Playing days over? There is always a need for umpires, scorers, coaches, team managers and help with the ground.
Any volunteers do not need to be currently involved with the Cricket Club. Willing to help? You are also very welcome. Please contact us now. Come and join us. Thank you to Mark Luther for organising the day and the Dudsbury staff for looking after us. Thanks to Hendy.co.uk for their main sponsorship.

Parley Sports Club dates from the 1940s when local sportsmen returning from the war founded a football and cricket club located on parish council land. As the club grew it developed into one of the most successful Dorset football clubs winning the Dorset Combination League on a regular basis throughout the 1960s.
The club is greatly appreciative for the contribution that parents and guardians make to Parley Cricket Club. 1. Remember that children play cricket for their own enjoyment and not yours. 2. Encourage children to participate and not to force them. 3. Focus on the efforts of each youth and their performance rather than whether they win, lose or make mistakes.
Parley Cricket Club has the ECB Club mark accredited status. The purpose of the Club mark is to identify and acknowledge those clubs that have demonstrated that they are properly and efficiently managed, provide a safe environment for young player to learn and enjoy their sport and have a high standard of equity and ethics towards all members.
History shows that success in these competitions has provided the club with valuable publicity and helps us get recognised amongst leading clubs in the Hampshire and Dorset areas. They also provide our players with the opportunity to test themselves against the best in Hampshire and Dorset. 2/. This will help their development in that they will learn to bat in different game situations, rather than always bat in the top/middle/lower positions.
