I had never tried Pilates but was recommended to do so by my physiotherapist. I was very fortunate to select Edinburgh Pilates Classes. The one to one tuition was superb and Karen was very patient and a great teacher. I learned a lot and continue to include many of the exercises I was taught in my weekly fitness and stretching routine. I would heartily recommend Edinburgh Pilates.

When seeking out a Pilates class I had a very specific aim of learning more about my own body, and, as a "mature" woman, wanted to build up flexibility and strength, and to be taught exercises I could practice at home. Karen is a wonderful, enthusiastic teacher, is always encouraging and explains the function of each exercise clearly. I very much enjoy repeating the exercises at home, confident that they have been carefully thought out to suit my own needs. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great teacher!!

Karen is a wonderful practitioner. I had never attempted Pilates before and thought I would be absolutely lost, but Karen is very patient and explains the moves and makes sure I know what I am supposed to be doing. It is early days for me but I am so glad these initial sessions have started so well and have encouraged me to keep going. Karen is very professional and I would highly recommend her one to one classes. I wish I had started this ages Ago!

I've always been 'fast' but never remember being flexible. This inflexibility has come to a point where it's impacting my lifestyle and the GP has recommended I take up Pilates. Fortunately I've discovered 'Edinburgh Pilates' and with Karen's patient and professional approach I feel I'm making excellent progress. Despite being reasonably fit and active I was aware of increasing stiffness and lack of flexibility and a friend suggested I try pilates . Karen took time to assess what my problems were and explained in clear terms what needed to be fixed and how she proposed to do it. Karen has a friendly and professional manner that gives me a lot of confidence as well as encouragement. I have experienced improvement in posture and flexibility and now, thanks to Karen's careful explanation and instruction, have the knowledge to sustain this improvement.

With a family history of severe osteoporosis I decided I was at an age when I should be pro-active about fending it off. After doing some on-line research I decided that Pilates would suit me & fortunately found Edinburgh Pilates on line. I came as a complete novice and have to say that Karen is one of the most approachable, adaptable and enthusiastic people that I have ever had teaching me anything! I started pilates with Karen last year,over 6 months ago now, and it is definetly the best thing I have ever done for myself.Karen is a fabulous tutor.Her attention to detail and individual encouragement in the class has helped me understand the core and improve my core strength.For years I have had lower back ,and more recent years, neck problems and her personal hands on approach has helped me understand my body and enables me to work the problem areas out myself but, knowing my limitations, ensures Im working the correct muscles to ease the pain and maintain mobility.Thanks to Karen I have noticed
