Atlantis Lodges
Atlantis Lodges are ideally located in Finstown, half way between Stromness and Kirkwall, Orkney's two main towns. This is an ideal base for exploring the Orkney islands, on the bus route and with easy access to local amenities. Atlantis Lodges offer flexible, high quality accommodation right by the shore, with stunning views over the Bay of Firth.

They are ideal for families or groups holidaying together. Unlike most self-catering accommodation, the Lodges can be booked for short or longer stays, starting any day of the week. We are an experienced family business, with knowledgeable staff who can help you to plan your stay. Please contact us for more information.
Services
The lounge has a galley kitchen and the dining table is beside the window, which looks out over the bay. There are 4 family lodges, each situated on the upper floor of the building. As you will see on the plan, 1 bedroom holds a double, the other a set of bunk beds (1 lodge is available with twin beds and set of bunks).
Our modern accommodation is conveniently located in Finstown, just off the A965 main Kirkwall to Stromness road. This provides good access to transport links to and within Orkney. Finstown is a thriving centre, with a convenience store, post office, chip shop takeaway, food van, hairdresser and a play park nearby.
Northlink Ferries run between Scrabster on the Scottish mainland and Stromness (7 miles to Finstown) and between Aberdeen and Kirkwall (7 miles to Finstown). Pentland Ferries run between Gills' Bay (near John o'Groats) and St Margaret's Hope (17 miles to Finstown). All ferries take foot passengers and push bikes.

We were fortunate enough to stay at Atlantis Lodges in June 2021, after having to postpone in April 2020 due to covid19.
The accommodation is great and ideal for our family of four, two kids of 2 and 5, who stayed in the bunkbed room. Highchair, cot and stair gate was included, making it easier and meaning we needed to bring less on on journey to Orkney.
The location of the lodges could literally not be any better for seeing the whole Mainland of the Orkney Islands, with the furthes you'll need to travel by car is 30 minutes, but most things about 10 or 15 minutes.
The lodge comes fully equipped

Unique setting and unusual place, literally on the waters edge! If you like wildlife you can watch it while you eat breakfast. They are very well appointed with everything you could wish for. So clean and well maintained and Inga and her family are so approachable and look after you brilliantly. We have been a couple of times and hope to go again!

We spent 3 wonderful weeks with Atlantis Lodges, bungalows and boathouse in a beautiful position on the Firth. Well equipped, functional accommodation and friendly helpful owner and staff. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Visited Orkney for the first time August 2017. Lovely self-catering accommodation in a very convenient yet quiet location. Well equipped, spotless and comfortable. Super views over the sea from the lounge window with the tide coming right up to the property. Hope to return and would recommend it.

We've been there two times, and loved it! Well kept and furnished apartments. They have beautiful views over the bay: we spent ours sitting at the window (you can see the sun rise from the sea, sitting comfortably in an armchair!). The location is quiet, but not isolated, and easy to reach. The landlady is kind and efficient. Very competitive prices.
