Squirrelled away in a peaceful valley just 1 mile from Mawgan Porth beach lies a secret which locals are finding increasingly difficult to keep under wraps. Part farm, part live music venue, part restaurant, part wedding venue and part self-catering accommodation, the incomparable Retorrick Mill refuses to be pigeonholed.
The 42 acre picturesque valley here at Retorrick Mill offers a beautifully rustic "off-grid" camping experience for those looking to get truly back-to-basics. We also offer self-catering holiday cottage accommodation boasting all the charm you'd expect from traditional Cornish cottages, even down to the hollyhocks swaying in the garden.
Our newest addition to Retorrick Mill, The Cabin is a lovely three bedroom detached Cabin hidden in the trees behind the Chalets. The Cabin is equipped for seven people and has all the comforts of home including gas central heating, comfy sofas and lots of outside seating to relax and enjoy the quiet.
Originally the old grist mill, Mill Cottage is a charming three-bedroom detached holiday cottage located adjacent to The Granary with its own private garden opposite. The cottage is equipped for five people and has all the comforts of home including gas central heating and an open fireplace. The kitchen is very well equipped with all modern conveniences and a dining table.
We have six self-contained, detached two-bedroom self-catering holiday chalets, each with their own parking space and panoramic views of the grounds and hillside beyond. The chalets are set forty feet apart, each with their own outside seating area, all designed to give a peaceful and secluded holiday.

We're staying nearby, so took a walk along the Bridle way to see what they offer, as we fancied food, drinks and the yoga advertised - owner told us we're not welcome, as non-residents from his chalets, to sit on his benches and especially if we were from the hideous Sun Haven campsite, where we are camping. Very rude and put us right off the place

Beautiful site! Unfortunately the owner was extremely rude, and I'd even say confrontational 😔 We frankly didn't feel welcome by the end of our 5 day stay. Last stayed here 3 years ago and he was so welcoming and friendly previously. Such a shame because the site is fantastic. Sadly unlikely to revisit now

Iv stayed at retorrick a couple of times. Once in a chalet and once in Mill cottage. The location is fabulous. Babbling stream, beautiful flowers and gardens the only sounds are the birds and animals. It's totally idilyic. Accommodation is clean and has everything you need for self catering. The bar and food are very popular and reasonably priced. It's quirky and bohemian. Off the beaten track and once you have visited you are bound to return

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I went 2 years ago with 8 friends, and again this week with my partner. It's so nice to be welcomed by lovely people and they just leave you be for your whole stay. If you're going for a get away from a city or noisy place... You will love waking up to the sounds of the Cockerel, the donkeys, the ducks and walking through the pathways to the wash shack. Really peaceful stay. Thank you very much. Will see you again next year!
