The Queens is a charming Pub and Guesthouse in rural Shropshire. Originally built in the 1800's, The Queens underwent a massive refurbishment in 2015 and is now under a dynamic new Management Team. The Queens holds the true essence of a country pub, serving a broad variety of delicious food. Our Chefs have created tasty dishes that focus on local, sustainable and quality ingredients.
We offer classic pub dishes, Traditional Sunday Roasts with a varied blend of modern "Specials". We provide a range of local ales alongside the familiar big brands and have an incredibly well stocked wine cellar. As if that wasn't enough, we also have five beautifully appointed double and family rooms and suites.

Drove down from Yorkshire and overnighted for a family lunch the next day in Shropshire.
Can not fault it really; friendly service, well appointed rooms.
As a solo traveller, they were happy to accomodate my request to eat in the bar rather than the restaurant even though they "dont usually serve food in the bar".
Will definitely use again.

Staff had a dont care attitude. I asked for my duck to be cooked the way I like it. Was told by the rude waitress that it comes as it comes and that the chef was in a bad mood that night. Food was below average for the price. I wont be going back. Sorry for bluntness but not sure how to sugar-coat a pretty bad evening meal and staff who were rude.

Best pub I've been in for a while. Dropped by for dinner while staying in Telford for work (gutted I wasn't booked in here now I've been), so the only reason I won't be returning is because it's a bit of a drive from MK! The burger and the chips were both the best I've had for a very long time, staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was perfect.

Went for a working lunch reservation today, and pre-ordered ahead as we were cautious of time. Not only was the room and table smart and airy, the food was second to none. Categorically the best salads we have had. I had the duck and chorizo salad bowl which was filling, tasty and well presented. My colleagues felt the same away about their bang bang chicken salad bowls too. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
