Inspired by the finest street food in the world, Pondicherry's dishes range from delicately spiced to aromatic and full flavoured. Influences from all four corners of the vast Indian subcontinent have helped to create a menu that appeals to every palate. We have been busy during lockdown to ensure that Pondi will provide a safe, relaxed and stylish environment that's better than ever.
Elsewhere we have cleverly reduced the number of tables to maintain social distancing without impacting on the atmosphere that our customers love. As restrictions are eased, it's great to know that you can once again visit Pondi with friends, family and colleagues.

It didn't work for me. It is gourmet ?? Indian and three of us chose speciality dishes we'd never heard of and they were very odd tasting, mine was sweet but with loads of chilli. Wifey had an old favourite jalfrezi which she said was nice but she didn't finish it. I definitely knew I'd eaten too much 🌶 the next day. The location, building and decor was great. IIRC the old police station.

Lovely setting right on the main street of the beautiful Ironbridge. Steeped in history this restaurant is in the old police station and court house. You can eat in the old courthouse making it quite unique. The loos are set in one of the old cells too so quite good fun. The meal was exceptional, hot, fresh , depth of flavour and great use of spice. Friendly attentive staff. Only observation is that its quite pricey so come with a full wallet.

My partner and I have been coming to the restaurant for years and have had great experience's. We wanted to bring our teenage daughters who were excited to try it out. We were so disappointed. The food was average at best, very tasteless. The service was shocking. Young staff not very knowledgeable of the menu, and not attentive at all. Our drinks were warm, we had to ask for extra ice and were given a few cubes. Won't be rushing back. Very disappointed.
