Butcher and Baker to Holloway Village. Established as a butchers in 1850, Robin Maycock and his wife Glynis took over the shop in 1977. Today their children Jonathan and Emily are in day-to-day charge of the shop. At Maycocks the quality of the produce speaks for itself, Maycocks is one of the last remaining butchers in the country which has complete control of their produce at every stage from farm to plate.
All of our finest quality beef, lamb and pork is locally sourced, from Derbyshire, by master butcher and livestock judge Robin Maycock, and is prepared in our own licensed abattoir at the rear of the shop. Emily and her team produce a dazzling array of delicious cakes, home cooked ready meals, and sourcing locally and using our own meat.

Established in 1850 by Thomas Walker the shop traded for three generations of the Walker family; they were affectionately known as Old Tom, Young Tom and Young Tom's son Tom. Robin Maycock and his wife Glynis took over in 1977, the shop has gained a reputation for Excellent Quality, Personal Service and Good Value.

Your amazing venison… meatballs wrapped in bacon..... cooked in aga for 20 mins and served with yum salad! Sorry for the bad ‘far too much Mayo’ on plate though!!!
