Tideford Organic Foods
At Tideford, we take our name seriously. That's why if it's not organic, it's not in the pot. From our kitchens in the heart of Devon, we've been making deliciously organic soups, meal pots and cook's ingredients for nearly 25 years. Everything carries the Soil Association seal approval too. So, whenever you see the symbol, you know it's organic.

We took our love of organic fruits and veggies a step further and made sure they're the only thing you'll find in the pot. We'd love to show you just how delicious veggies can be, making it even simpler (and more exciting) for you to eat more of them. So, we've come up with lots of products + recipes to help you get more fruit and veg into your diet.
Services
We've cooked up a lovely range of organic vegan soups, sauces + pestos, all made in our kitchens in Devon. Everything is organic, vegan, gluten free, nut free, no added sugar + packed with tasty, good-for-you things. Plus our delicious organic range of fresh, unpasteurised miso pastes are just the thing to spruce up your cooking, helping you make your veg taste even more scrumptious.
We're proud to display the Soil Association organic certification on all our products, but what does it actually mean? Only products that have been legally certified can be called organic, so you can be sure that where you see the symbol what you're buying has been produced to the highest standard.
If you'd like to stock our range in your store, you've come to the right place. Some of our soups, sauces + misos are also available in catering size and formats, and our food tech team often work with clients to develop bespoke recipes that will suit their customer. All our soups + sauces come with a minimum 16 day warehouse shelf life, and are supplied in plastic shrink-wrapped trays with 6 units in a tray.
We've put together a load of answers to the questions we're asked most frequently. We hope the list below will help with your query but if not, please do give us an email at info@tidefordorganics.com. More and more plastic packaging (like our pots, lids + labels) is now accepted by household recycling schemes.

It’s not very often I write in about food products…but I’ve just had your spinach and lentil Dahl soup.It was delicious. Perfect consistency and full of flavour. Look forward to trying other varieties soon.

Tried the Spiced Parsnip tonight and it was so revolting I feel I have to say something. Its thick, gloopy (even after adding water to thin it out) and full of crunchy bits, like an undercooked stew.
The taste is absolutely awful, does not taste of parsnips at all. The flavour is dominated by Coriander. Perhaps the soup should be renamed Spiced Corriander?!
Needless to say it went straight in the bin.
The Spiced Tomato soup was also awful, leaving me with acid reflux, which I never get! Also binned.

Absolutely loved the super greens soup.
What a shame it's in a plastic container which puts me off buying again.

My partner and I really like the lentil spinach and dal soup we buy through Tesco’s. However, there’s a nagging problem. The container it is in. The sealed lid has an unusual design which means each time you open the plastic lid a small piece of plastic is separated completely from the rest of the container.
This is not only dangerous for pets and small children but also leads to slightly less recycling as it is easy to lose the small piece at the point of opening and can end up in the waste bin. There are many alternative designs available and I’m surprised a company with organic credentials

We were over the moon when we found your Miso soup in our local co-op, unfortunately this turned to disappointment when we discovered that the product is BEYOND over salted. 6g of salt is an adults total daily intake and that is what is in one tub of your soup! We have tried adding potatoes and sautéing chicken to remove some of the offending salt but to no avail. it is a shame because it is otherwise a lovely soup with good flavours...2g salt would be enough. :(

Wow. SO impressed with the soups. Currently dieting and they are extremely filling and yet so low in calories.
Risotto always a winner for a elevensies snack without capping out on the calories.
Super impressed and super happy. Shame you can't get the soups in Asda as would add them every week to my shop).

Tideford Organics do a great range of vegan soups, so you never get bored of the same flavours. My favourites are the spiced sweet potato and minestrone – they are really filling and taste amazing! I became vegan for environmental reasons and do my best to support companies that demonstrate they care for the environment – Tideford do this by making ALL their products vegan as well as supporting alternatives to plastic packaging.

I love Tideford's soup range! They have a great variety of different soups to suit all lunch time moods. I have been making my way through the soup range and so far I have found them all very tasty and filling. The fresh red and white miso pastes are also delicious (especially when added to roasted vegetables).

I'm no vegetarian, but I think Tideford soups are brilliant. If I had to choose, I'd say my favourite's the Red Lentil, Apricot & Chilli Soup, but I'd recommend trying them all to anyone.
Also, the Vegan Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto is delicious on pasta, on veg, on salmon... on everything I've put it on, actually.
Any way to get more veg in my diet is always welcome. Thank you, Tideford Hillbillies!
