Mid-Ulster School of Music established in 2004, we are the leading music school in Magherafelt and the Mid Ulster area. Our music lessons cater for all ages, tastes, and abilities. Fiona Donaghy, Proprietor of the School has been involved in Music since she was a child.
A graduate of Music and English from Queens University, she has been teaching private music lessons for almost twenty years and is also an active performer, having performed in America, Canada, and locally in such Belfast venues as the Grand Opera House, Ten Square, the Europa Hotel and Larry's Piano Bar to name but a few.To date, Mid Ulster School of Music has produced five very successful stage shows in the Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown.

At Mid Ulster School of Music we pride ourselves on the qualifications of our teachers so that each student is given the best tuition possible. Every teacher has a formal qualification in Music and a wealth of experience in both performing and conducting music lessons.
All of our new students are afforded a free introductory music lesson, which provides the opportunity to meet their teacher and discuss whether they would like to pursue the exam route or just learn to play for fun.We offer family discounts and also discounts to our senior clients. Our music lessons are accessible to all ages.

Each of our singing teachers here at Mid Ulster School of Music has received a formal qualification in music, we also value their wealth of experience in both performance and providing singing lessons. Our teachers, in particular those who conduct singing lessons can take pride in the fact that pupils who part-take in exams have withheld a 100% pass rate since the school began in 2004.
Our Rock department at Mid Ulster School of Music, provides both drumming lessons and guitar lessons with our qualified tutors. Qualified teachers such as Ciaran who recently completed his Masters In Music has provided drumming lessons to pupils for numerous grades. We are one of the leading music schools providing guitar lessons and drumming lessons in Northern Ireland for many years.
Violin lessons can be the beginning of a long-term relationship with music, soon after a basic technique is established the freedom to play any style of music enjoyed is welcomed. Heather is head of our violin department; she recently has started a string group within the school; one of the many opportunities that await you when you join Mid Ulster School of Music and get involved with participating in our violin lessons.
