Sailability at Bolton Sailing Club is part of an RYA nationwide scheme which offers people of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy the fun and freedom of sailing. We aim to provide excellent sailing facilities in the beautiful setting of the North West Moors.
If you have never sailed before and would like to give it a try, we will pair you up with a very experienced sailor in one of our double-seater Access dinghies. As your skills and confidence grow you can take over. So, if you are new to sailing or not; looking for adventure or just want to sail peacefully around a beautiful lake in light winds on a sunny Friday afternoon, Bolton Sailing Club is the place to be.

Services
You can also pop in to see us any Friday evening or Sunday afternoon, there's always someone around who'll chat to you even if our New Members Secretary is out sailing. We currently only offer training courses to current and new members of the sailing club. Also, we don't have a regular program of courses as we only do them on an 'as needed' basis.
Bolton Sailing Club is a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Recognised Training Centre. In accordance with RYA Guidelines, a Senior Instructor (SI) must be present to supervise any training being given, ensure appropriate safety cover is provided and to sign-off logbooks. It is of course still possible to sail at other times to consolidate knowledge and skills!

Great, friendly and a stunning place to sail. I'm part of the Sailability group. EVERYbody is welcome and welcomed to sail here on Belmont reservoir. We are an active group of disabled sailors, with most of us starting with no knowledge of sailing, whatsoever. Some of us, now sail single handedly and others sail in twos.
