4Strokes Swimming Academy are proud to announce our new and comprehensive syllabus that will offer ALL of our pupils the confidence and skills to reach their individual potential. The syllabus has been produced by our own experienced, dedicated and PROFESSIONAL team of ASA registered teachers, drawing on our existing pupils motivation and performance, providing the substance to devise such a COMPREHENSIVE and fluid set of awards.
We offer lessons at our purpose built Academy pool in Derby and at Branston Golf and Country Club. There are just 4 children per group in our beginners classes! The 4Strokes team are either ASA or STA qualified and have the experience and motivation to work closely with the individual needs of every pupil ensuring they reach their personal goals and awards.

Does your child/Do you suffer from any condition that can affect their/your breathing, for example Asthma, If so please provide information below on any treatment that may be required before, during or after physical activity.

My son, at the age of 4, had his first ever swimming session here today. I was expecting him to be reluctant to enter the water but he was put at complete ease and got in straight away and had the best learning experience in the pool. If you're thinking of starting your little one here, I completely recommend it! 👍

I highly recommend 4Strokes 🏊♂️ and their personalised approach with small classes of 4. My youngest was struggling to progress with lessons at a local pool, but Lucy has helped build his confidence every week and her mix of firmness, encouragement and laughter is perfect for him - I’m very proud of how he is coming on with your help 🙌 My eldest was always a more confident swimmer, but he goes from strength to strength under Lorraine’s guidance. A special mention goes to the lovely, welcoming reception staff who are always busy keeping the changing

Hayley is hands down the best swimming teacher I have ever had. I am an adult learner and I had a bad swimming technique and low water confidence. But within weeks, I was perfecting the breast stroke and learning to swim uninterrupted lengths. She is so so amazing and very flexible with lesson times. I'm a shift worker and still managed to squeeze a weekly lesson. The facilities are brilliant and the staff are wonderful and friendly. There is plenty of parking right outside the entrance, so I didn't have to worry much about how to get there.

Fantastic facility. I've been here today to watch my 5 year old grand daughter learning to swim. The pool is about 25 metres in length and split into four lanes. In each lane there are a small number of different levels of young swimmers, with one instructor who is in the water with them all of the time. The progress these youngsters make in a short time is amazing and this is all due to the outstanding instruction given by the friendly, qualified staff. Awards and badges are given for improving abilities, which in turn gives the kids lots of incentive. There is a small cafe, small changing room
