Founded in 2005 by Will Kildare, the Star Swimming Academy operates from venues in Liverpool, Sefton, Ormskirk and Leigh. Will started in the 'learn to swim' industry 26 years ago as a swimming teacher and never looked back, now the owner of one of the best and most popular learn to swim Limited Companies in Merseyside and the North West.

Before the commencement of your child's swimming lesson and after the swimming lesson has finished, you are responsible for your child. During your child's swimming lesson, the Star Swimming Academy instructor will be responsible for your child, though please stay in the parent's waiting area to supervise your child on bathroom breaks etc. as required, regardless of the age of your child.
Are you a passionate, loyal, and committed swimming teacher? Do you strive to deliver quality swimming lessons, and build a good rapport with your students both children and adults? Do you hold an ASA or STA qualification at Level 1 or 2? We have vacancies for learn to swim teachers and poolside assistants throughout Liverpool, Sefton, Ormskirk and Leigh.
Everyone within the Star Swimming Academy has a passion for what they do for the children and adults who come to join us in our swimming sessions. In addition to this we have a great passion and commitment to supporting local groups, charities, youth groups, clubs and any number of individuals. Over the years the Star Swimming Academy has supported many good causes in and out of the pool.

I would like to share my appreciation for Julie at Star Swim for her patience, understanding, care and humour. My daughters have really struggled going back to swimming after lockdown and the changes that they have experienced as a result made them highly anxious and getting them in the pool was a huge stress. Julie has been so accommodating and… dealt with the girls to resolve their fears and stress and has used her magic to get them both in the pool and made them feel great after every lesson. It hasn’t been a one off occasion that Julie has had to help me, it’s most weeks

Had a great experience from first enquiring to having my lessons. I only managed to have half my booked lessons due to a shoulder injury but as an adult swimmer trying to get better, Mike helped me really understand the basics around swimming and Julie was lovely helping me get it all booked in. Will hopefully get around to booking more when my shoulder is better. Would recommend for any adults looking for improve their swimming.

My daughter started swimming 3 years ago with star and she wouldn’t put her face in the water . Three years on she’s away diving , swimming with different techniques just can’t thank Peter, Julie and Owen enough. My other daughter is also with star but she took to the pool straight away , where as lola needed lots of encouragement!! Thanks again xx

Just want to say a huge thank you to all the team, I’ve never been to an activity that is so well run by such fantastic staff, even amidst a pandemic. Joshuas only had 4 lessons (first ever swimming lessons) and already got 3 badges on the way. At 7 years old and having been to lots of activities, football, boxing, martial arts, beavers etc he has… never engaged so enthusiastically with so much love for his swimming and going to see his swim teacher every week. The teachers are awesome and make it 100% fun. You run a brilliant swim school I’m so glad we found you lovely bunch

Tonight as we head into the next lockdown my little girl had her last swimming lesson and leaving tonight she sobbed all the way home. Testament to how amazing the team are at making the lessons so fun and building her confidence every week. She ❤️’s her coach Peter. Thank-you to all the team at 🌟 swimming. Hopefully we can see you soon x
