This striking modern example of a dwelling highlights many of the structural elements that Merronbrook can offer in our packages. Roof trusses are used in conjunction with steel supports and loose rafters to create 'room-in-roof', easi-joist floor sets, shaped and rectangular frame panels, open-plan living with an integral garage and a stylish porch canopy created by our structure.
Getting things right the first time and on time is what has made Merronbrook one of the South of England's foremost specialist Timber Frame manufacturers. From our facility in Hampshire, our in-house and experienced Timber Frame specialists will guide you through our frame packages, tailoring a solution to meet your specific site requirements.
Timber frame houses and other wooden buildings are a common feature of buildings from the 19th century and earlier. In the UK today, timber frames are again growing in popularity over traditional 'brick and block' methods, due to their inherent benefits. For private self-builders and main contractors alike, the main advantage is a much faster build cycle.
At Merronbrook we believe that what we do is directly linked to the environment, and that what nature gives us - to create our beautiful and sustainable timber framed homes - should be cared for and protected for generations to come. That is why we carry out green initiatives on a variety of fronts to ensure that our impact on the world is a positive one.
Trussed rafters, or more commonly known as roof trusses, are the ideal solution for the structural framework needed to support the roof fabric. Since their introduction to the U.K. in the early '60s, roof trusses have proved to be a fast and economical method to form roofs. Roof trusses offer a vast amount of flexibility and can be used on a wide range of building types including both domestic and commercial structures.
