Julie is the sole owner of Warren & Co, and has been working in the financial service industry since 1982. David covers Cornwall and North Devon. He previously specialised in shared ownership and shared equity, and now concentrates on the whole of market. Paul covers the Avon & Somerset and Shropshire areas.
Buying your first home can be a daunting experience, and so Warren & Co aim to help make your house buying process as smooth as possible. Things worth considering are the shared ownership and shared equity schemes, or a gifted deposit from a family member. You will also need to remember the other costs associated with buying a home.
This is the same process as when you bought your first home, with additional costs to cover the estate agents and solicitors fees. You will also still have stamp duty, survey fees and removals costs. You can take the deposit from the equity in your current property or from savings if you sold your home some time ago.
Sticking with your current lender after your initial deal comes to an end may seem attractive if their SVR (Standard Variable Rate) is reasonable, but if you are willing to take a little time to look for a better rate, remortgaging could save you a significant amount. Fortunately, we make the process of finding the most suitable remortgaging deals simple.
Having a low income and small deposit continues to be the main barrier stopping people from buying their first home. The Help to Buy government schemes aim to make home ownership more affordable for people without substantial savings. The Help to Buy Equity Loan is available on New build properties only.

Can't rate the team at Warren & Co highly enough!
Tim has handled all three of our mortgages and remortgages now and he just can't do enough for you. He's so responsive and was very patient with us as well when it came to our first mortgage.

Kerrie helped me enormously as a first time buyer (shared ownership) who discovered some bad credit part-way through the application process - always pay your phone bills kids. She was calm even when I thought it was all over, and managed to find a suitable mortgage for me.

Another painless remortgage. Thoroughly recommend this company and I will continue to use only them for our mortgage needs. Staff are attentive and helpful, maintaining regular contact throughout. The mortgage advisor explained everything in simple terms and was more than happy to arrange calls for times convenient to us. He even got us the same 'existing customer' rate we would have had going direct to the lender ourselves, but took out all the hard work of doing so. Definitely use this company for your mortgage, we have an excellent experience compared to our old broker.
