A few months ago, I was speaking with a client, who was getting very anxious about her finances. Her husband had always looked after their significant savings and investments, but when he passed away, she was left to try and make sense of it all. She was also coping with a stressful job at her local town council, and had been overwhelmed – she told me “I just buried my head in the sand”.
