The present practice originated from an amalgamation of two well established Stenhousemuir practices. The practice is based at the Health Centre, Park Drive, Stenhousemuir. The practice is open 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday - Friday. We have an evening clinic once a week when patients can be seen until 6.20pm.

We close on occasions for staff training. A notice is displayed in advance detailing the date, time and how to contact us in an emergency. The practice would like to thank the various advertisers who have helped to produce this Website. However, it must be pointed out that the accuracy of any statements cannot be warranted, nor any products or services advertised, be guaranteed or endorsed.
Services
The health visitor and district nurse are also available for telephone consultations and can be contacted by phoning on 554231. To contact the doctor in an emergency when the surgery is closed, phone 570570. You will hear a recorded message giving the telephone number of the doctor/deputising service on call.
June Smith, our practice manager, oversees the day-to-day administration and smooth running of the practice. Our receptionists, Ruth, Peggy, Audrey, and Lindsey are specially trained to help you gain access to different members of the practice team and to deal with your enquires and requests as efficiently as possible whilst respecting your confidentiality.
We advise this for every child in the practice. We are proud of our high vaccination rates and believe that this maintains a high level of protection for your child. We carry out an active policy of health screening for all patients with asthma, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and epilepsy.
Patients are responsible for their own health and the health of their children, and should co-operate with the practice in endeavouring to keep themselves healthy. We give you professional help and advice - please act on it! Remember that house-calls are at the doctor's discretion. They are very time-consuming and we can see three or four patients at the surgery in the time it takes to do one house-call.
The doctors are committed to offering a personal, caring service, tailored to each individual patient's needs. Each doctor has wide general medical experience, and you will find on this website a guide to services provided by the practice. This website details what we provide as a practice and what we look for in return from our patients.

This practice has gotten worse over the 7/8 years I have been with them.
We are now down to one Doctor and it has been like this for about 18 months with no signs of adding a second.
Getting an appointment is like pulling teeth, if you phone up at 8am and ask for one they'll advise 3 to 4 weeks, you need to physically demand an appointment same day to then get phone by the triage nurse for 20Q and finally if deemed you will get an appointment.

Dialing system is not acceptable. It's almost impossible to call in due to the number of callers or if another person is on the line. This centre only has to add a simple call handling system yet they haven't done this. You will have to call in repeatedly for an emergency appointment and hope to be the lucky caller that successfully connects. I had to call in 37 times over 7 minutes until the call was finally not engaged and got through. This is technology from the 1980s. Really bad operations.
