Services
SPC Care home is a family owned business for over 10 years which specialise in care for the elderly. We provide tailor made care packages with a range of services in our residential, nursing & dementia care homes, with a high level of support and expertise provided throughout each care home. Our main aim is to provide high quality care for the residents we look after, across all our care homes.
Our principle aim is to provide the highest quality of care, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment where individuality, dignity and quality of life are paramount to the residents. The following principles help provide guidelines for the home to fulfil our aims. We aim to provide an open and a positive environment, as we understand that this helps us recognise the needs of our residents and staff better.
We aim to provide the highest quality of person centred care. The central focus of our philosophy of care is to promote the well-being and fulfillment of our residents. We believe that our residents, their families and friends should be informed partners in the provision of this care and that their beliefs and wishes are respected and valued.
Our policy on activities takes into account the residents interests, skills, life experiences, personality and medical conditions. A wide variety of activities is on offer, and designed to encourage Resident's to remain physically and psychologically as well as possible, and most importantly to continue to take an interest in life.
Nutrition and hydration are essential to health and well-being. When well managed they provide a vital contribution for people recovering from illness and for those at risk of malnutrition. The CQC programme of themed inspections looked at dignity and nutrition issues for older people.

One inspection looked at the experiences of older people in care homes and the other was a further programme of inspections in 50 NHS trusts, this time including both mental health and acute trusts. Most of the places inspected were caring for people with dignity, treating them with respect, and supporting them to make sure their nutritional needs were met.

I have been running my Arts & Crafts Classes here since almost 2 years now. The place is conveniently located off the high street. The premises is clean and tidy. The Management and all the staff are very friendly and co-operative. The Care Home provides a perfect home as your new home. I highly recommend this place to someone who is looking for a lovely and caring home.

I am the hairdresser and have been visiting the Cedars every week for many years to do the residents hair. I have always found management and staff courteous and helpful. Residents are kept neat and tidy in appearance and treated with uttermost dignity. The food menu is varied and of excellent standard, and the light activities of gentle exersise and arty /crafts seem to be enjoyed by the residents. The communal rooms are keep very clean and tidy along with the residents rooms. The rooms are made cosy and have residents own personal little treaures so that they may have a feeling of home from home

My mother who has Dementia, has been is a resident at the Cedars Care home for two years. I visit weekly and can see she is well cared for by the staff. They monitor her health and welfare and I can chat to the friendly care manager at anytime with any concerns. Regular sessions stimulate the residents with visits from singers with old time dancing. Activities from occupational therapists for craft making and gentle exercise. Mum is happy there and I think the home is worthy to have the name "Care" in its name . Mr G Lory .

We go there every Tuesday with the children from a local childcare setting to do some art and craft with elderly and I am always very impressed with the way nurses treat residents, with loving, caring and gentle approach, with respect, dignity and encouragement. You can tell there is a very special bond between ppl that work there and their residents.
One of nursery children’s mum work for charity and organised a concert for them and musicians had the same impression. They called to say how lovely and family like atmosphere they’ve noticed at the care home. They also mentioned that it was
