Tiled floors with the cosy feel of underfloor heating are a massive growth area in the UK as more people are turning away from carpet and laminate flooring. Tiling the whole ground floor means the area is hygenic and very easy to keep clean. As well as traditional tiles, we also sell modern contemporary tiles, wood effect tiles and stone copies so realistic you wouldn't know they weren't stone unless told.

Tim & Ryan at alternative tiles are superb.
I am a tradesperson rather than a customer. The care, knowledge and thought helping create or restore a floor is frankly these guys period. A one stop shop for everything. Amazing alternative tiles to suit any taste. But for me the Period Tiles and service are simply fantastic. Consistently good. Honest.

Extremely helpful, after discussing what I was looking for I was taken straight to the tile design and colours I had in my head.
Lots of great choices in the shop, and really helpful with tips and recommending tilers.
Tiles came in quicker than was expected which was a bonus as we were up against it a little bit time wise before our fire was fitted.
Overall brilliant shop and extremely helpful staff.

We were advised to use Alternative Tiles by the tiling genius Andy Gough. We already had a pretty good idea of the style and colourway that we wanted and so things were pretty straight forward for us. We were however, really impressed with the team at Alternative Tiles, they were very knowledgable and profeesional and more than happy to show us alternative colourways and advise on everything from grout to borders, to aftercare. I feel like a floor of this type in an investment not only in your property but also in the heritage of victorian floors. Alternative tiles really understand that too, and

I have a small kitchen and decided it was time to give it a makeover – as Alternative Tiles is just across the road from me I popped in to get some inspiration. I was extremely impressed by how friendly and helpful Tim and the team were. I was shown a selection of tiles and eventually decided to go for a combination of glass and conventional tiles. After listening to my ideas, Tim came up with a design which incorporated both tiles in a very effective and striking way. He even recommended a tiler to complete the work who was fantastic.
