We all have the two basic wishes: to be free from everyday problems and find lasting peace and happiness. With Buddhist meditation we have the actual method to realise these two goals. By combining this experience with training in authentic meditation techniques, these beneficial ways of thinking will become part of our daily attitudes and beliefs.
In this way, we will gradually reduce negative, unpeaceful minds - such as anxiety, anger, stress, loneliness and dissatisfaction - and replace them with more peaceful states - including patience, love, compassion and consideration for others. This process of spiritual development will make us happier, more positive and much better able to help those around us.

Sometimes it can feel like we are being tossed about by constant waves of difficult circumstances. Relationship, financial, health and societal problems come to us one after the other despite our best efforts to avoid them.
If you wish to drop-in to individual sessions, please just come along and pay at the door (we accept cash or card payment). Let's be clear. Thinking is necessary. We need to think, reflect, understand, know, make decisions etc. However, sometimes our thinking becomes circular, negative, stuck or unclear.
You will also receive a reminder email each week. Dealing with people is such a big part of our lives. So, what happens when we find others difficult to live or work with?

I love the place and the teachings. There is no pressure at all to take up or convert to Buddhism, and I know some agnostics who go because the meditations and coping techniques really help them.
I have found it warm and respectful. We're all there for different reasons, and probably take away different things from he sessions.
I've found, unlike a lot of faiths, I can ask very challenging questions on the texts and teachings, rather than offence being taken, they are met with consideration and approached logically.
From what I have seen, all are welcome, regardless of faith or background.

A very welcoming and friendly place, full of peace and serenity. They accept all faiths and non faiths and don't try to ram their version of Buddhism down your throat either. The weekly sessions, with a mild Buddhist flavour are a great retreat from the stresses of daily life. I highly recommend them.

˜…★★★★ NKT is NOT Kadampa Buddhism, but a Western sect made up by a Tibetan rebel with NO followers in Tibet. It is highly appealing to young and vulnerable people.
From WIKIPEDIA:
"...critics have described The New Kadampa Tradition as a breakaway sect or cult and argue it is not part of the ancient Kadampa Tradition but a split from the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism."[48] Tibetologist Thierry Dodin has described the NKT as a cult, "... on the basis of its organisational form, its excessive group pressure and blind obedience to its founder. The organisation’s extreme fanaticism
