Always an animal lover, my grooming career started in 2002, a job that would add additional funds to my family's income and a job that I could work around my young children and groom our family dogs which was an added bonus. What started as a hobby has ended up taking over my life, it is a passion and a job that I love dearly.
Our salon is fully equipment with all the latest resources so that you can not only learn with the best but you have the best equipment to learn with. Our courses run from 9.30 am to 3/4 pm. You can attend 4 days a week or 1 day a week. Our courses are totally flexible to ensure you the learner can fit your dreams into your normal working week.
The City&Guilds qualification is for people who are looking to start a career within the dog grooming industry. The learner must be 16 years old, or over. Be dedicated and have enthusiasm with working with animals and especially dogs as this rewarding career can require long hours. The Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant (7863-02) will provide learners with the practical skills and knowledge that is important for working as a Dog Grooming Assistant.
Basic health check, identify key anatomical points, type of coat and prepare dog for bathing. There will also be written assignments and worksheets to complete to help you research and revise for the theory side of the qualification. These are to be completed both on-site and as part of documented guided home study until the required guided learning hours are met.
This nationally recognised qualification encourages skills necessary when grooming dogs with different types of coat. Learners will learn how to use a variety of equipment and increase their knowledge of grooming styles. Learners will gain knowledge of canine first aid and understand the health and wellbeing of different breeds of dog.

My sisters dog needed a hair do badly... due to bad health my sister could not get it done and he was staying with me. So I contacted Denise as she does my cats claws and know she is fantastic.....
I was told he was a nervous dog at groomers and wont tolerate clippers etc.. Denise worked her magic and Winston looked fantastic and smelt wonderful.. thank you x

I took my Lhasa Apso Billie today for the first time. I was very pleased with everything that we experienced with his grooming. I have not seen him so handsome for a very long while. They were so caring which made Billie feel loved and with people who really looked after him so well. He came home happy and so did I. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to take their dogs there.

Very pleased with my trip to Dee's today. It was puppy Hugo's first wash and groom and he looks amazing. I was asked what I would like and really listened to. Picked up some good advice about grooming and food as well. Dee is a winner of awards world wide
and this certainly comes across. All the qualifications plus more, even enough to train other people. Very friendly and helpful , I
