Vanity Fur is a luxury, family-run dog grooming salon based in the peaceful village of Stanningfield, just 6 miles from Bury St Edmunds. Our aim is to offer the very best dog grooming whilst making every dog feel as comfortable as if they were at home. Established in 2016 by Charlie Aldous-Rye, Vanity Fur does things differently to other dog grooming salons.
Bring your puppy along for 3 hours to get used to and experience all the sights and sounds of the grooming salon, and also receive a gentle brush bath and blow dry and spritz! Plus heaps of cuddles and a tasty puppy treat. A great way to introducing puppies to the grooming experience!
Great if you short on time and can't get back for collection they will also receive a short walk around stanningfield green and chill out in the salon or a luxury holding kennel plus a treat!Dogs must be collected 15 minutes before closing time.

Charlie is always very honest about how much grooming the hounds need. She’s never pushy and if anything talks herself out of business/money. It’s a refreshing approach. We always receive a great service and Charlie is always conscious that we have rescue dogs, one who is quite nervous, and takes time to make sure that they are are comfortable and relaxed as possible. We will continue to be repeat customers .

We took our puppy, Wallace, to Charlie for an introduction session last year. We've since only taken him to Charlie for grooming and wouldn't think to go elsewhere! She gives us such great advice, Wallace is always so smart when he has been to her and ridiculously excited when he approaches the door! 100% recommend!

I took my yorkie here for the first time and to be honest when I picked him up he looked ok. However when I got him home I found that he had quite a few nicks and patches of fur that were too short so I had to try and put it right....luckily I used to be a hair dresser.
The lady was nice but I will not be going back.

For all dog mums with petrified fur-babies. Charlie is the best surrogate dog mother you could ask for. Obie is treated very gently in calm and tranquil surroundings. A one to one service and no other dogs to add anxiety.
I travel an hour every 8 weeks to have Obie groomed and it’s just the very best.
