Had a sit in meal, the food was really good , the place nice and clean tidy, they kept the covid rules , I would get from Bangla again.
If anything was a bit of a spoiler that it was quite cold while sitting there, the room not the food.
Staff wise not very attentive even though there was only 20 people in there,

Four of us went to the Bangla at lunchtime. We ordered off the main menu (although, they do have a lunchtime special menu). Absolutely the best Indian food I have ever tasted! We ordered a few starters and mains to share. Each dish was a mouth-watering delight. The King Prawn Puri was stripped right back (no river of sauce to hide all the delicious flavours), the pancake was feather light and divine. All the mains were an individual taste sensation. The peswari nan was to die for, so fresh and light (no heavy doughy nan at the Bangla). The waiter was charming, polite and very helpful. I really

Visiting Bangor and first time to Bangla. Superb food and service. Luckily I spotted a review that was BYO and there is a supermarket almost adjacent. I will return if I am on Bangor

Excellent Indian meal. All courses of a high standard with service to match.
Various "specials" at different times of the day.
Couldn't have asked for more.

Got a takeaway this evening. This was the first time we have gone to Bangla. The food was really lovely, staff friendly and efficient. We didn't have to wait very long. Will definitely order again 🤩

Really nice food. Best peshwari naan I’ve ever had. Good selection. Everyone happy with what they ordered and what arrived. Loses one star as others have said I felt a bit rushed. And prices on the website didn’t match up with the menus but maybe they are just showing takeaway prices or something. For example says £7.50 for the Korai on website but £11.95 on menu in restaurant.

Don't let look deceive you, this is easily one of the best Indian Restaurants I have been to. Located on Bangor's High Street, next to ASDA, from the outside it looks like any other takeaway, the facade is unassuming and it looks on the small side. But inside it stretches way back and is a sizable restaurant (seating at least 100). We booked a table for 8pm on a busy Saturday night and despite us turning up bang on time we had to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated we were presented with poppadoms and the service rapidly improved.

After browsing the vast menu I opted for

The best in town! Taking over from Bangor's Ganges which has fallen from grace. I never look beyond Bangla for an Indian. There are many others about and they will be much cheaper and taste alright. But if you want the best then save yourself the hit or miss Indian and go for the sure thing worth paying for.
