Here at the Deli we have a real passion for food. Most of our produce is created on the premises using only the finest local and seasonal ingredients. The Deli is open 6 days a week (7 days a week during the summer months) serving the local Mersea Island community and surrounding villages, not only as a Deli but also providing catering for any celebration or function that you wish.
These are supported by carefully selected wholesalers trading in fine produce from areas across the UK such as The Cotswolds, Somerset and Devon to mention a few. The Deli is run by Joe and Georgie, supported by Mum and Dad! and two excellent local chefs. Joe who lives just outside the village has a true passion for food, a real foodie! Responsible for writing some of the exciting menus available through our catering arm. His wealth of knowledge has been gained through his true passion for food, and the excitement it gives him trying different flavours and combinations.
Most of our Deli Counter is cooked or prepared on the premises using only the finest locally source ingredients, and we never use any additives! We always try to have a special of the day where our chefs use their amazing talents to create something new. Freshly made sausage rolls (The Deli Sausage Roll) we are famous for these, and safe to say will be the tastiest sausage roll you have ever tried!.
