Saffron Walden is a local club with teams playing at a variety of levels, including a women's team. We have a successful Academy, which welcomes players of both sexes from 5 years and up. Crocus Cricket provides an opportunity for young players with special needs. There are summer and winter training events and sessions for younger players.
There are always social events too. New members are always welcome in all activities of the club. The club produces an email update, Extra Cover, which is published weekly during the season and occasionally during the close season. In order to manage registration in as safe a way as possible, we would like to do as much as.

In 2014 the Club secured charitable status, becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity No. 1157468). This was an enormous vindication of the work we have been doing in and for the community of Saffron Walden.
The inclusive nature of the club and the provision of cricket for people of all ages and abilities, the development of our programme for girls and women and the use of our ground by local schools and clubs were all factors which were considered by the Charity Commission in reaching their decision. It means we have a legal status, a limit on the liability of our officers and clear guidelines in terms of good governance and financial reporting.
