Multi-Turn
Based in Hampshire, we've been creating quality made to measure staircases for trade and private homeowners since 1989. Our expert team will guide you step by step throughout your project journey, from initial designs right through to delivery. Hear from our client, John, at Sigma Homes, as he takes us through what it's like working with Multi-Turn - including the quality of stairs and how the project journey has worked.

We've been working with a key developer on the south coast, who are building 200 modern and stylish properties each year. Working with Danny Mac and Carley Stenson on their exciting renovation project, we've come up with some fantastic designs! Multi-Turn's hub for project inspiration is here at your fingertips!
Services
Founded in 1989, we're a family run business (spanning three generations) who focus on traditional values and aim for nothing but exceptional service. In the past 30 years, we have successfully established an impressive reputation within the building industry as the South's leading timber staircase manufacturer.
From our beginnings in 1989 through to the present day, we have welcomed plenty of new faces, expanded our workshop and introduced many initiatives to benefit our customers. See what's changed in 30 years with us below! Having trained in boat building, making things in wood was always a passion. Eric Cowley founded Multi-Turn in 1989 wood turning products such as table legs, columns, newel posts and spindles.
From the very start of your project, we'll take full responsibility for the measurements, design and bespoke manufacture of your staircase. We'll offer advice on style options and building regulations before sending the final designs to our team in the workshop. Your stairs will be manufactured using the latest machinery and dry assembled prior to delivery to ensure they can be fitted on site first time.
We understand that you want to keep your site running smoothly and to plan. As the South's leading staircase manufacturer, we've carefully curated a project journey which allows you to do just that. The process starts with a site survey - where we take our own dimensions using laser equipment - to ensure we have exact measurements to create a staircase that conforms with current building regulations.
Our expert team are outstanding in their attention to detail and have developed specialisms in wood turning, twisting, fluting and dowelling; which allows us to match existing components and create new and unique designs. Our projects have encompassed newels, spindles, porch columns, kitchen pilasters, bollards, pins and even door handles.

Very unpleasant people with very bad humor and character and they were close to hitting me. An experience that I do not wish for anyone and I do not advise anyone to go to this place and also what they sell is not recommended.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE FIT FIRST TIME GUARANTEE!!
We had an absolute nightmare with this staircase and this company blamed everything on our installers, which simply isn't true and our installers along rang them several times when fitting to clarify things.
We have paid a huge sum of money for ill fitting and quite honestly dated looking stair case.
They did nothing about the fact that the oak handrails don't fit into the newel posts right, the handrail on the 1st floor hangs inches off in the air and the wall will now need to be built out, we hand to sand down every spindle as it didn't fit into

Absolute pleasure to deal with, really nice quality banister items, and great customer service. Returned some spindles back that were spare with no issues. Also very reasonable in price and next day delivery is a life saver. Can't recommend enough. If I need any further stair parts I will definitely buy from here.

We chose a Cottage Style staircase for our loft conversion. The site was carefully surveyed in conjunction with the builder. All the components arrived safely on a direct transport vehicle. The builder did an excellent installation within very tight dimension constraints. Finally varnished and carpeted, which shows off the beautiful grain structure and sheen. Top marks to the builder and all the Multi-turn team.

Multi-Turn were recommended to me by a colleague who was pleased with their stairs and the service they provided, a bit risky if it doesn't work out! But it did and Multi-Turn did a great job. The chippy we used to install said they were good quality too, compared to many he had seen.

Rupert has added a touch of glass to our new staircase which was finished in January. All the materials were delivered on time and very reasonably priced too.

Do not use this company, their customer service is the worst ever. We ordered a piece of glass to go on a upstairs balcony and it took 8 weeks to arrive (now how long does it take to cut a piece of glass). The problem now is that the piece of glass does not fit the space. Multiturn visited the property twice to do measurements but somehow managed to order it too high and not wide enough. We called the company to ask why this was so and the response is that its just the way it is and refused to help resolve the problem. Now our poor carpenter is fitting a piece of glass that isn't the right size
