Services
In 1989, the Heayns family purchased the land on which Mill Meadow now sits, and the family moved onto the site in 1993. Up until 2006, the land was used as a plant and tree nursery for the family landscaping business. The Lake was established in 1990 to provide irrigation for the nursery. Construction on the first lodge, Kingfisher, began in Spring 2006 and Woodpecker followed in 2008.
Our award winning luxury, self-catering, eco holiday homes are all furnished and maintained to an exceptionally high standard, and offer Something for Everyone. Every Mill Meadow lodge is designed to maintain the diversity of wildlife, with at least one bird and one bat box, and all landscaped areas are carefully managed to ensure a range of flora and fauna can thrive.
We are continually working towards being as accessible and inclusive as possible for all our guests, but particularly for guests with specific needs. If you have additional needs, please read our Access Statement and let us know if you have any requirements. With this in mind we value and welcome the guidance of Compass Disability Services, a Taunton based organisation.
Elaine Branch from 3-Gens Craft Shop is available to put on Craft Workshops for guests at Mill Meadow. We will be scheduling Craft Workshops from time-to-time, so keep an eye on our social media. There are many local restaurants, pubs and cafs that serve quality food and offer a variety of dining experiences. Please see the list of recommended dining options below. We are also happy to discuss your needs for planning a meal out. We advise you to phone ahead to check their opening times. Most will now require you to book in advance.

Stayed at Robins Lodge for my 31st which was meant to be for my 30th last year but due to covid, it had to be moved and Chris and Suzanne were more than accommodating of this. The whole complex is very secluded and private and our lodge was stunning and very clean. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was equipped with every appliance and down to stuff you could even bake a cake with! Very clear instructions on what to do with recycling, how to check out and places to see and do were given. Chris and Suzanne were also a delight to meet. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a lovely weekend

We stayed here for our wedding, August bank holiday weekend 2021.
The lodge (House Martins) itself was absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of space and was so neat and tidy. Suzanne is an absolute dream and was so accommodating and made sure our wedding weekend was perfect . They had even hung bunting outside the lodge on our arrival and we had a card and a gift which is so sweet. The hot tub was AMAZING. We made great use of that. I would 100% recommend these guys and would definitely stay again.

There is a beautiful place, clean, modern and Chris was friendly but the service was not good. There look like you rent a home to stay not holiday lodg. there are not any kitchen towels or tissue there were jus toiletpaper. Especially before departure you have to remove all your bed sheets and pilo cover, you have to empty all recycle bins and take all off waste bags by your self and drop in recycle center on main entrance where is 100 M far from your lodg, I put my waste bags in to nonrecycle bin that was out of the lodg but they charge me because I didn't take by my self to the recycle centre

We had five nights in Swallows Barn at Mill Meadow. The stay was most enjoyable. The communication from the owners and our accomodation contact was first class. We had a quick and accurate response each time. On arrival it was clear that the site was very well organised. The covid procedures and practices had been thought through and we could see them in action. There was no concern on that front for our stay.

Wow what a wonderful time away for a couple of nights, from the moment we booked it until the moment we left the service and hospitality has been amazing from Chris and Suzanne, what a beautiful lodge set in a peaceful and tranquil setting can't fault a thing, the site is well maintained and clean also the lodge is perfect to.

Fantastic holiday!! Chris and Suzanne, were so lovely and warm. From the moment we booked we felt so welcomed by them. Suzanne in particular, was amazing, any questions or queries, she was always there and would go the extra mile for her guests. Keep doing what you are doing!☺️
Our lodge was perfect! Just amazing! Our lodge, the buntings, was very modern and had all the facilities you could want. The kitchen in particular was modern and sleek, ideal for self catering. The beds were so comfy, our sleeps here was fantastic. On site we have access to the lake, which was a lovely setting to watch

From the moment we booked until the end of our holiday the service provided by the Mill Meadow Team was fantastic. Accommodation was lovely, clean and perfect for our family.
