We are a mobile mechanic service based in Newcastle upon Tyne offering a range of car and light commercial vehicle repair and maintenance. We are unique in our approach as we will come to you whether you're at home, work or on the move. Whatever the make and model of your car, our technicians will provide a friendly and professional service with the latest technology, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
We offer a full auto electrical service from a bulb not working or a broken wire to computer diagnostic testing of car ECU'S. We are relied upon by many of Newcastle's main dealers, independent garages / car sales and insurance approved body shops whether it be on a motorbike, a combine harvester or a car but we do specialise in cars and it makes up around 95% of our work.
We modify your vehicle's software to enhance the performance, drivability and fuel economy. ECU REMAPPING is when we take a digital read from the ECU's processing chip of the vehicles standard tuning map. We then adjust various parameters within the map such as fuel pressure, boost pressure (on turbocharged applications) ignition advance and throttle pedal control, amongst others to release the true performance from the engine.
We have a fully trained auto locksmith that is able to safely, and without damage, pick open your car door lock or manipulate the locking mechanism to gain entry to your car to remove the keys that have been locked in. Or, if you have lost your keys we are able to cut and code a new key to your cars computer system so you are back up and running as soon as possible.
You have found a vehicle that you like and have decided to buy it, but you don't know if it's worth the money or even if its road worthy. Let us inspect it for you with the same attention as though we were buying it for ourselves. You can come along with us while we do the inspection or, if you prefer, you don't even have to be there.

Exceptional service, said a time, phoned before heading over, arrived at the time he said, diagnosed and fixed an issue thats been annoying me for 9 months in 20 minutes, charged me less than the taxi fare to and from my normal local garage. What more can you ask for, top guy.

Nice guy. Good communication. Keen to help fix a stubborn electrical issue. Did some detective work. Ultimately decided to change the the main battery which he did later that day - although certainly not cheap compared to the mobile battery change service from Halfords. So, I’d hire Matty again for certain jobs but probably not ones that Halfords etc can do, as they’re probably a lot cheaper.

These guys are great, rang up about an annoying intermittent central locking issue with my van, made an appointment for them to come out to me. No need for anytime off work. Came when they said they would and sorted the issue very quickly, very happy with the cost of the job also. Will definitely use again.

From original phone call through to the lad coming to look at the car service was first class. Once car was plugged in and faults diagnosed car was fixed within the hour. Encouraged to take it for a test drive which I did and the fault did not reappear. Couldnt be happier all from the comfort of my own home

DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC! Poor service, did half a job the first time round and had to come back again (labour was waived for the second visit, kudos for this) but then left my brake calipers in a 'mangled' condition so they needed replacing but didn't feel like telling me this before telling me the car was fine. When I called and asked if… anything was going to be done I was told by someone on the phone that 'old cars are a nightmare' and he should have just not done any work on my car to begin with. Service was convenient as it was on the doorstep but I would not recommend this mechanic

Amazing service, I contacted them at 7am & I had a response from Rich by 7.20am. Not many places would be willing to respond out of hours. By 12pm the guy was at the car at my husband’s work and after months of us and other mechanics trying to fix the back light cluster the guy had it done within an hour. The price was extremely good, I was expecting it to be at double of what it was. I can’t recommend Rich and his lads enough, we certainly won’t be going anywhere else that’s for sure. Thanks guys your service was amazing.
