Elder
With live-in care, your loved one gets all the help they need to keep control, choice and independence over their own life, in their own home. Live-in care enables your loved one to grow old around the people, things and routines they love. As the UK's leading introductory live-in care agency, we'll help match your loved one with a self-employed carer based on their individual needs and personality.

They move into the home, doing everything to really help your loved one make the most of later life. To live it where their roots are, where they feel happiest, where they belong - their home. It takes a lot to let someone new into your home. We understand they have to be someone your family can trust.
Services
We are a leading introductory live-in care agency, helping older people get the care they need, in the place they feel happiest - their own homes. We believe life isn't about how long you're here for, it's about how well it's lived. It's about getting the support you need without giving up your dignity.
A few years ago. Pete's family had a really tough time trying to find the right care for his Gran, Frances. When Frances needed a little extra help, they began looking after her themselves. However, with Frances living in Kent, away from the rest of the family, it quickly became tricky. Arranging for carers to pop in and out during the day wasn't easy either, and it was difficult to know when, or for how long they were spending time with Frances.
We spell out in detail what you can expect from your carer, and what they can expect from you. As well as the characteristics we look for in a carer to make sure they're the right kind of person - capable of looking after those closest to you. Your carer is there to help with a range of duties, from personal care to keeping the house nice and tidy.
Elder is defined by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as an Introductory Agency, in line with the Health & Social Care Act 2008. Here's how it works. Elder is an introductory agency, so rather than manage care on an ongoing basis, we're here to help match and introduce you to a self-employed care professional.
We can provide comment, human stories and statistics on how we're reshaping care in the UK. We're able to provide expert opinion and analysis of the care sector in the UK, as well as uplifting stories of how live-in care is changing the lives of families up and down the country. Recently, Elder has also been named the UK's 3rd fastest growing company by Tech5, and the 5th most promising new company in the UK by startups.co.uk.

I was very upset at the (non) service this company provided. I set up for
carers on two separate occasions. The
first had no Covid 19 vaccinations and she was coming to deliver care to a 90 year old man. This fact was never discussed with me, which was outrageous. The person was traveling on public transport and was coming to care for a very frail gentleman who had just come out of hospital following pneumonia. It was only a chance question on my behalf that the discovery was made.
The second carer, was a young man who failed to turn up for two days despite contacting me to say he would be arriving

Working for Elder has made me turn pale from embarrassment for continuing with them after the first time, then I faced an unwarrented dismissal. Sent to two dangerous families out of three, and was 'supported' to stay in these situations, not removed safely from them. Not sure if they recognised the red flags from my feedback about the families or ignored them, both neglectful tendencies equally abhorrent. One family to my knowledge never complained for 6/8/9 months, but when I handed in an unfit for work note (as they impacted my mental health making me unwell) the disgruntled family likely complained

Working with elder was horrible! terrible experience probably one of the worse companies I had ever worked for !!! I had met some really lovely clients through them And a few good experiences only due to the clients/families , but we had 0 support from the office. they don’t treat they’re carers well they don’t care about us, they don’t even give training I wouldn’t trust elder company with any of my family members, they literally hire anyone and put you on a platform to book shifts, they don’t even go visit they’re “clients” home for any health and safety measurements they give

Hi, some months ago I was tasked with finding a live-in carer for an elderly friend and neighbour. Quite a task as the that elderly lady was only to be discharged from hospital if we could find 24 hour care for her, due to her frailty short-term memory loss.
After Googling several care companies, none of which seemed able to meet the needs I laid out, I tried Elder Care. From the word go Elder listened, sympathised, noted what our needs were and were genuinely concerned to provide a carer to meets the needs I'd outlined for my neighbour.
There are many plus factors when Elder come to your aid

Working for Elder has been a wonderful experience. They are very professional and helpful with every call you make. I love that they also ask us, the carers, on advise for any improvements within the company. This shows that they value our opinions and it is a team work rather than employer vs. employee.
Thank you for all your kindness Elder!

Generally good service and support so far from Elder. Every effort made to identify my elderly mother's needs and personality at the start of the process. We have had three carers so far, two who have been excellent. The third was not suitable however this was quickly resolved once the problem had been raised. Overall I would recommend.

We have been with Elder for 6 months now and they have provided a fabulous service in terms of the quality of live in care for my mother in law who is enjoying living at home independently with the assistance of her live in carer. Communication is key to the success of this and Elder staff have been amazing liaising with the family and keeping us updated at all times. Thank you

I love working for Elder as they are flexible and one chooses where to work. They ask feedback from careers and to ascertain job satisfaction from them. They also listen to careers and do their best to make everyone happy to work with them. It’s easy to work for them and l would recommend anyone to look no further.

Very efficient and professional 24/7 home carers. 12 months ago my mother in law was given 3 months to live but thankfully after friendly and excellent care by Elders she is still with us and looking good even if she has now got dementia. Mum loves her carer who is very attentive to her needs. In the event of any problems Elders are very quick to resolve our issues.

It is very early days with our carer only being in place a week. So far my wife is very comfortable with the care and companionship she is receiving, and the carer and I have organised things very well between us. I was a little unsure about sharing the house with "another woman", but it has worked well. I enjoy having her around the house.
Time from initial enquiry to the carer arriving was 7 days. Paperwork was all done via email, and phone and email communications prompt, accurate and pleasant.
I've used short-term live-in care from 2 other companies before. The experience with Elder has to
