Dee Light is our go to local bakery.
The staff are really friendly and attentive, prices are reasonable and the food is always of a good quality with a good selection for veggies and meat-eaters alike. With both indoor and outdoor seating theres always somewhere appropriate to sit and being a short walk from the commons is ideally located to pick up some take out for a picnic.
The bread is really good as well (for home).

We ordered a cake for a birthday. Came out excellent, and it was really nice she listened to what the birthday boy liked rather than just doing a run of the mill cake. Friendly, helpful, excellent cakes.
Update: Cake was absolutely delicious, absolutely everyone that tried it loved it and even the chefs were genuinely impressed.

An amazing Aussie run bakery in the neighbourhood. It's great to have one close by where we can get some decent coffee and cakes. It's a kids paradise with tim-tams, jelly-mix, snake gummies etc. They have an assortment of breads, cakes (cupcakes, cake-pops and cup brownies are smashing). Love the quirky decor. Great place to hang out with friends, children or alone when the sun is shining or on wintery days inside.

Everyone nearby knows the Dee Light Bakery. Within a short walk of Tooting Common it's a favourite destination to buy a picnic (you can also phone orders ahead). Now lockdown has changed you can sit outside at their socially distanced tables to eat. And what amazing food! The brie and salami toasted sandwich is delicious, as are the veggi omlets in bagels, and the variety of delicious sausage rolls including black pudding and pork and apple. Plenty of tastey vegetarian options too. They always have a great selection of fresh made cakes naturally, the coffee cake last visit was really good and the

✔️Wide open entrance with no steps, nice gradual ramp into the store. They have good height tables inside and out with chairs and benches. There is one toilet that serves as a disabled toilet as well.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon, was a little busy but there is always a free table it seems which is great! Service is always quick and easy, they have a great range of bakery items and some Aussie items as well like ANZAC biscuits and Lamingtons! They also do great coffees here with allpress beans!

Dear Owner, we have been your clients for 2 years, coming there so many times and bringing friends and family, spending a lot of money (that make your LIVING..); my wife says your carrot cake is the best she's ever had, I have the fortune to get gluten free cakes, and our daughter can play in your kids area at the back. Never could make big… complaints, nothing's been a big deal before. Since today. We are 9 people + 1 kid, we arrive before 10am, so it's not very busy, it's a bit cold so we don't want to seat outside, and we see that the first 2 tables inside are empty and we kindly ask

Dee Light is a relatively new bakery (having opened last December) set next to the French cafe on Ritherdon road.
A great selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches can be found here. It's also family friendly, on my visit it appeared almost full of Balhams 'yummy mummy's', with plenty of of high chairs, fruit shoots, and a kid friendly menu (i.e cakes), it's easy to see why .
My toasted chicken, mozzarella and pesto salad panini was nice, although fairly short on the chicken; the bread itself was also a little too greasy (as a result of being toasted with too much
