Cooksport Limited was first established in 2009 by Josh Cook. Josh is an experienced professional racing driver, precision driver and driver coach. Holding an "ARDS A" Instructors Licence and Full BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club) Membership. He has competed in the British Touring Car Championship since 2015.
Josh still plays an active part in the business, and his Motorsport experience has transferred to many areas of the business. Cooksport Limited has several years experience as a race team, preparing cars to compete successfully in both the TOCA & Creventic Championships. The team has achieved race and class wins in both the Renault UK Clio Cup and 24Hour Series.

Following months of planning and development, we are delighted to introduce our 3000sqft expansion, housing our brand-new Dyno Cell with a state-of-the-art Dyno Dynamics Dynotech 4WD Dyno. Based in the South West, close to Bath and Bristol, we are ideally placed to take care of all your performance tuning needs in a purpose-built environment.
As previously mentioned "car remapping" is where the current software on the car's ECU (Electronic Control Unit or Engine control Unit) is removed and a new, different, software programme is uploaded. As the ECU controls how the engine works, the change in software will the way things like timing, spark, fuel and air intake are controlled within the engine.
As the UK's exclusive AST and MOTON Suspension distributor we have supply of genuine AST and MOTON Suspension components built in Holland, which are used to service and re-build your dampers. Please package your suspension well and include a cover note containing with your contact details, return address, vehicle make and model, and detail any issues you may be experiencing.
Cooksport hosts a number of exclusive track days. We feel time and experience on the track is paramount to enjoying a vehicle but also to connecting with the core of motorsport and performance tuning. Cooksport track days are purposely organised to maximise track time alongside attendees being supported throughout for the best track experience possible.
We offer specialised geometry set up services for any car. This is for both road and track and can be carried out in alignment with specific driver goals. This can be condition or track specific or for road cars needing balanced set up for maximum performance. When you have your car geometry set up it involves adjusting the steering and suspension of the car to change the orientation of the wheels in relation to the chassis position.

Great experience. All staff friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Had my RS megane remapped today. My car had a slight issue that was quickly highlighted and rectified during the rolling road. Car has been transformed and made good gains. Excellent facilities. Highly recommend cooksport. It’s nice to find somewhere I have Full confidence in. Thanks all.

After a fair few bad experiences over the years using different garages/specialists, I've found I'm a little hesitant when it comes to using someone new. Any fears I had were quickly banished when it came to using Cooksport. Initially they were more than accommodating when I had to change my booking as I could no longer get the time off due to a co-worker's illness, and on visiting them for a front pad change, lowering springs and a res delete for my Mk 4 Clio RS found them to be not only patient with my noob questions, but methodical & diligent in their work. Very professional team who found a workable and cost effective solution to the gear box issue on my Audi. The main dealer had not fully investigated the problem, and with Cooksports' expertise and suggested way forward it saved a substantial amount of money on the repair whilst they still used genuine Audi parts . I visited Cooksport to have new suspension to be fitted and wheel alignment done. Also a recirculating valve.
I am very pleased with there service, attention to detail, very polite, friendly atmosphere.
From the moment I arrived, to the end of the day, they kept me informed on what was happening, took the time to show me how my new suspension works, also Steph for sorting out billing, which was a bit complicated, Josh Cook for being a lovely chap talking about cars, racing in BTCC.
I highly recommend CookSport/AST Suspension UK for any of your car projects or services you may need.

Im abit unhappy from the service as i have spent a-lot of money with cook sport and specifically asked for no work to be done to my car if it wasn't a good car ive now had the mot done to find it needing a-lot of work that and things missed like my swivel hub nut loose and corrosion so ive now had to sell the car at a hudge loss

I have used Cooksport for the last couple years and each time the service has been outstanding. Really friendly staff and excellent facilities with a waiting area.
Cooksport have maintained and modified all cars and even transformed my 225 Megane into a full FIA Approved race car which i have been competing in this year.
The attention to detail they go to is far better than anywhere else I’ve experienced and won’t be taking my cars anywhere else again.

First enquired with cooksport about a fuel system for my big turbo Megane, I ended up having the majority of parts needed but I needed a fuel rail. They had 1 sent out to me within a few days, quality looks to be spot on and nicely finished. My next issue a few days later was having a gripper diff fitted and my flywheel being in a bad state. I… needed a clutch and flywheel capable of holding around 500bhp and there isn’t many options. Enquired with a few company’s including messaging cooksport on Facebook about 21.30 Monday night, unexpectedly got a reply straight away saying

I had my Megane RS 265 Trophy in for their Cooksport lowering springs supplied and fitted, I am well impressed! The ride and handling feels better than the stock cup springs.

Another massive thumbs up to the guys at Cooksport. I had some suspension work done today, and left a critical part at home. Whilst this might have stopped other companies in their tracks, for these guys, no worries......they had the missing part machined from scratch to save me from making another 3 hour (one way) trip. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys! Simply amazing customer service and skills demonstrated today. 👍👍👍

Bought a Set of cooksport springs for my Clio 182 over 4 years ago of which in that time i have been really pleased with them but unfortunately after all this time one of the front ones has just snapped!
So i… got in conatct with Cooksport after finding out there springs come with a LIFETIME warranty for the original purchaser.
I spoke with Stephanie who's customer servive was absolutely fantastic!! nothing seemed to much trouble and was happy to replace thing spring and also allowed me to purchase an additional spring to change the pair!

- improved ride quality as standard is quite poor IMO. - better feeling / control through steering - less body roll under cornering - more composed under braking - better… stance giving sportier look - generally improved confidence when driving
For a spring upgrade too work with standard damper I'm impressed! Very good upgrade without cost of a coilover type set up!
Now too get it on track ...
