Check out their year round results on our social media. I started fishing at the age of seven, mostly for small fish on the Grand Union Canal, which I'd visit my Grandad who was not an angler himself. It was really up to me and my older brother to teach ourselves through our early years fishing.

I ordered an item on April 1st and paid £5 for “express shipping” ;after waiting until April 8th to receive my order I open it and discover I had been sent an inferior/cheaper product instead of what I PAID for. A note was left inside my order saying “attempted to contact no reply” this was obviously a lie as I had left the correct phone number and… email address (also I had messaged browns angling via there email on there websites contact page and on Instagram and Twitter) I obviously felt this was completely unfair so I messaged browns angling on Facebook

Placed order with these, an in stock item. no contact after to tell me anything different and then just get a PayPal refund with no contact from them at all. Be nice to know rather then just getting PayPal refund sent with no other contact.

I always try to be totally Covid compliant, obeyed the signs I saw. Even though the main unit was empty I was told I didn't obey signs I couldn't see, unfriendly, farcical, no wonder someone else posted a bad experience, I wont be back.

I checked Browns website to make sure they were open today. They were advertised as open from 8am-5pm. I arrived at 12.05pm to find them shut. I had travelled 35miles to spend over £2000 on new fishing gear, bivvy, bed, chair, rods reels etc. They have now lost a long running customer. I was bloody fuming. Further to the above. I contacted them on their website explaining what had happened. No apology, no reply, nothing. I have nothing but contempt for these people now. I will advise all my many Fishing friends to go to Jakemans where you get proper service.

Not clear what their opening hours are for Xmas times. After messaging them through Facebook because nobody Answers the phone, they told me the Daventry shop was open 8-12 today and sent me a list of the opening hours throughout Xmas. so after driving 35 mins roughly 20 miles from my house, I arrive at 11am and the shop is locked shut. No notice of… them being closed on the website or Facebook page either and somebody else turned up as well whilst I was there that didn't know it was closed either. Joke. Other than that the shop is well stocked but sort your communication out ffs.

I went there today to kit out our angeling team with an obscene amount of sponsorship money only to be turned away in a very rude manner and was expected to leave a minor standing in the rain, I won't be using any of Browns stores as a consequence. Waste of time.

Went in today with my 6 year old son to buy some fishing supplies. Unfortunately, even after seeing my young son, the staff proceeded to turn the air blue with frequent and prolific swearing. Not impressed and soon left (with far less than we'd intended to purchase). When I raised it with one of the offending members of staff his response was to laugh. We will not be returning.
