The Alexandra is a modern private hospital of the highest standards, which benefits from a continuing process of upgrading and enhancing its facilities. The most recent phase of multi-million pound improvements was completed in 2012, allowing us to offer patients private medical care that is unrivalled in the region.
In 1984, the Royal Hospital was re-located to the outskirts of the town, and the original hospital was purchased by consultant orthopaedic surgeon, Mr. S. Sherif (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Ed., Glas.) who had previously practised as a surgeon at the Royal Hospital. Mr. Sherif began the wholesale renovation of what was to become the Alexandra Private Hospital, converting it into the modern private hospital that it is today.
Our patient care is determined by strict adherence to medical ethics, not by commercial factors. The care that you receive at the Alexandra Private Hospital will never be compromised for any reason. As such, surgeons at the Alexandra will only perform surgical procedures that they consider to be suitable for you specifically, following discussion and consultation.

Hi,just had my implant and masectomy operation done 2 days ago. Thanks to all staff for suport and atention. Regular checked and very polite at all timeðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ™
Ps: for some of nurses and the anesthesist try to be more 'nice, whith your pacients in special on our way to surgery saloon. Why I am saying this...well
When I was carry to surgery and had my branula atached to my hand instead to hear encouragment's and i will be k and things like that...i heard how tired and lack of sleep my anestesist had and story about them.
Also for the amount of money paid a toast or sandw🙄🙄 reallyðŸ

I had surgery here yesterday and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish. Francesca was amazing from the start, great communication and very helpful and polite. The hospital is very clean and has a good feel to it, nice and private, I didn’t see another patient all day even though there was others booked on same day.
My surgeon mr Sleiter was incredible, such a nice man who made me feel at ease from the moment I met him, before my op and straight after. All staff I met yesterday thoroughly looked after me from the moment I stepped through the door until the end. Soon as I went

I had a breast uplift with implants here on 26th July 2021. The procedure itself was booked with a surgeon through Enhance Medical. The hospital staff on the day were all really lovely and informative, so pleasant and reassuring. The hospital and my room was very clean. The hospital was so quiet - I didn’t see another patient all day. I couldn’t fault it. The nurses and anaesthetist on the day and the morning after were absolutely brilliant. I’m so happy I chose to have my procedure done here. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at the hospital.

I had a tummy tuck on 7th December 2020. When entering the building to leaving the staff where all so lovely and kind. Made me feel so much at ease. Everything was explained to me from the nurses, healthcare assistants, anesthetic and surgeon. After the surgery I was very well looked after. The hospital was lovely and clean and definitely recommend. I would like to say a massive thank you to you all.

This hospital is everything and more! From start to finish was extremely above average!
Every member of staff I met was beyond helpful,polite, reassuring and helpful!
I had Mr G and can’t recommend him enough he’s an incredible surgeon.
The hospital was clean and comfortable and I was never alone they even give you a member of staff that stays with you to keep you comfortable and get you anything you need.
The hospital is faultless!!
Even the lovely ladies on reception was very warm and welcoming....
everyone who works there speak to you like they’ve known you years it’s that comfortable

I had surgery here in November 2017, I would never recommend going here as a private hospital. The hospital is outdated, dirty and certainly not up to private medical standards. The staff on that day were not pleasant and hardly spoke to myself to reassure me before my surgery and the care after surgery was poor I’ve had better care on the NHS for free than i received at this hospital. I do not feel I am wrong to expect a certain level of care when I’m paying for it.

A big thank you to Dr Sherif for all his help and advice on options for restoring my teeth to give me back my confidence. I have never been to a dentist and he made me feel so calm and relaxed, also, it was good to have the option of having my treatments at 40 Harley Street in London or in Chesterfield, where ever was most convenient for me at each appointment.
