We've had really yummy food here a few times. The staff are friendly, it's a great location especially on a sunny afternoon and the food is good. It's not exactly reasonable but neither expensive as tends to be the case with tapas but its definitely worth a try.

Such great food… the Bloody Mary is fantastic! The service was the best I’ve had in England :D they even offered for us to take our drinks in a take away cup!

We popped in for a late lunch while walking around in Broadway market and really enjoyed the food. Everything we ordered was amazing. The portions are perfect for sharing. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly (very Hackney!) and the staff were equally friendly and attentive. Fantastic Spanish restaurant!

We decided to come here as a family and were pleased that we did. They offer a nice range of drinks and an amazing array of delicious Spanish food. We opted for a lovely bottle of Spanish wine to accompany our selection of Tapas. The Tapas that arrived were delicious and were presented beautifully. Rounding off this lovely experience were friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

Visited here in May 21 for the first time and the whole experience was fantastic. Brilliant service, food and wine. The tapas portion sizes are good, you don't feel hard done by with anything. Would recommend the croquettes and octopus in particular. Will definitely be returning

Rustic style restaurant with amazing food. The tapas is nice and has flavour. Their breakfast menu is also really nice and is my go-to when I want a healthy-ish breakfast. The place gets quite busy on weekends and in the evenings.

Very decent and largely authentic tapas - can easily imagine being served those dishes in a low/mid range spot in Madrid. Prices are fair, g&ts are served Spanish style: strong and in huge goblets. Nice staff. Great local joint.

Incredible atmosphere and food. Everything had so many layers of flavor. Even the dessert, a chocolate fondant cake surprised us with rose petals and a berry sauce hidden amongst the custard and ice cream.

If you ever see a free table, grab it - it's always packed, and with good reason :) Really good tapas that are fairly priced - I went with my flatmate Matt for our final London weekend, 4 tapas between the two of us was more than enough!

We went to El Ganso for a friend's birthday on a Monday evening and had a great time. On arrival, there was plenty of space for 6 and with the side doors open, it felt like we were on holiday! As it was a birthday treat, we opted for two jugs of sangria which was delicious and carried on the holiday theme!

The waiter was a bit confusing when it came to asking for advice on what was gluten-free but seeing as it is Tapas and meant for sharing, we just ensured we got enough dishes that suited everyone. The food arrived quickly and at different times which was great because had it arrived at

So cute and fun! Incredible food and lovely atmosphere. My boyfriend booked us in for a date night and I was really surprised how intimate but busy the place was. Great for a date night or catching up with friends. Would recommend booking a reservation as it gets pretty busy on weekends.

Will absolutely be coming back next time I'm in London. Good sangria too!

I usually wouldn't stop at restaurant when in at the delightful Broadway market, but this time, my friend and I ventured into this bustling tapas restaurant for a spot of lunch.

I decided to force the beginning of summer by having a glass of sangria which was nice, but a touch weaker than I prefer.

Food-wise, we shared pan de tomato which was almost as good as I've ever had. Squid risotto was deeply dark and inky with a nice creamy aioli style smear on the side.

Octopus was excellent with 2 types of contrasting potatoes presented beautifully. The seabass was lightly cooked with well

Very popular on a Sunday lunchtime, and we had to wait outside for our table despite having a reservation. Pleased to say that's the only slight negative.

Positives, however, are numerous.

Fresh juices. And excellent tapas on the whole. Highlights for me were the zingy tuna tartare - which I never thought I'd like btw. Trust me, it's outstanding. Calamari was light and delish.

Bonus points go to the patatas bravas for having the spicy and creamy sauces on the side. The patatas themselves were dreamy - crisp yet fluffy potato pillows.

Dessert star performers were the dense

El Ganso really defines the Broadway market culinary scene with it's (somewhat edgy and) off beat tapas recipes. The fare is fairly traditional, but here and there you will find some unusual flavours thrown in, which gives it a little bit of an edge over it's counterparts in nearby Shoreditch or Hoxton. Decorated in (what is now a very standard) shabby chic style, gorgeous mirrors adorn the two walls of El Ganso (the other two being more open-ish, since the restaurant is in a corner unit).

The pulpo is definitely the star attraction in the tapas portfolio. But instead of coming with

Had dinner here with two friends mid-week. I booked a table in advance, which was a good thing as it was full when we arrived. We had a table on the pavement/front, so luckily it wasn't raining. There was a nice range of dishes on the menu. We ordered some olives and Manchego cheese to snack on whilst we chose and ordered the meatballs, croquettes and chicken paella with a bottle of white wine. All were fine but something was slightly amiss. I can't put my finger on what but the food didn't really set the world alight.

The waiter was incredibly over friendly, kind of reminded me

This is THE place for a Saturday morning breakfast amidst the wonder that is Broadway Market.

If you're looking to get out of the various stalls and actually sit down to eat, do nothing else than head here. It's a really nice and comfortable tapas bar that has an amazing selection of breakfast and brunch options.

Firstly though, the coffee is nothing but a wonder. Really authentic espressos are churned out of an amazing coffee machine behind a bar that's covered in ageing meats. Truly epic.

After some deliberation I went for eggs benedict with a side of smoked salmon and a
