They will demonstrate to donors, trusts, the statutory sector and corporate organisations how together, with the right resources, our organisations can change lives. Our local Minds aspire to be organisations that reflect the richness and diversity of the communities we work in, and as such the selection of applicants for paid and voluntary positions will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

Our befriending scheme offers support and companionship to people who have mental health needs. We recruit, train and match volunteers with individuals who are socially isolated through their experience of mental ill health. In a rural county like Carmarthenshire, people can also be geographically isolated.
The Twilight Sanctuary is here to support people through their struggles and concerns whatever they may be. It isn't easy to always get the help that you need, and sometimes its difficult to know where to go. We aim to help with that. If we can help talk you through your concerns we will, if we are unable to we aim to signpost you to an organisation that can.
Getting together with friends, family and neighbours or taking on a personal challenge is a great way to support Llanelli Mind. As an autonomous organisation, we must raise our own funds to survive so every penny our fundraisers make really counts! There are lots of ways you can help - the only limit on what you do is your imagination.
By sharing their experiences, members help to shape mental health services and add credibility to the work that we do. Members also have the opportunity to join campaigns which push for change at both a local and national level. Members can become spokespeople for Llanelli Mind by speaking to the media and presenting the real face of mental health.
