At Kloisters we provide a stimulating atmosphere where learning is a natural and welcome part of everyday life. We work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and their families. Services
Our team are carefully selected, not only for their wealth of experience and qualifications, but also for their skills and personalities, plus their dedicated approach to caring for your child. The owner and manager of the kindergarten is Mrs Carolyn Dennis and many of the staff have been at the kindergarten for several years and every member greatly contributes to the happy, industrious environment essential to a developing child.
At Kloisters Kindergarten & Pre-School, Rochester, we offer a safe and secure environment on our premises protected by CCTV with 24hr surveillance. This is for children from birth to 2 years old, where the staff create a happy and caring environment, which is an important step to your child's future development.
We work within a framework that recognises that every child is an individual and that all children have a need to develop and learn, through interaction with people and exploration of the world around them. At Kloisters in Rochester we feel that babies and young children need support as they begin a journey of self-discovery from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and staff.
At Kloisters Kindergarten & Pre-School, Rochester, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities as well as educational goals. Your child does not have to attend the Kindergarten to be able to access these classes, they are open to all that are interested. We are lucky enough to be able to take each class to a secure woodland in Bredhurst which we use each term.
Parents are the children's first educators so we feel it is vital for the parents and the Kindergarten in Rochester to work together resulting in a positive impact on the child's development and learning. Education is a three-way partnership with the child, parent and the kindergarten.

Communication between home and the kindergarten is vital and encouraged through development records and the children's learning stories, prize giving, stay and play sessions, Sports day events, bi-termly newsletters and always being available to talk to parents.Kloisters also offers your child the support of a personal key worker, as each child's development is unique and special.

I would highly recommend kloisters, my now 9 year old son went there and absolutely loved his time there, really helped with his speech, my now 3 year old son goes there now and loves going to school twice a week, they really helped with him using the toilet and is now dry, your Facebook group is great, can see what your child is doing each day, they even go on school trips to woods and farms, so you get to see pictures of your children feeding animals and still learning along the way, my son enjoys the healthy meals and puddings on offer, my son has never had a bad day and comes home with lots

The best nursery and preschool in Rochester. I can't thank kloisters for everything they do and have done for my daughter after being at a horrendous nursery previous. There amazing with all the children and the manager Nikki is lovely. Made me feel comfortable and welcome from the day we walked round. I completely and utterly trust all the staff and they are lovely every time you drop off and pick up .
As I only have one daughter , Nikki has helped me with what schools are going to be good to view also. All the staff are truly amazing and you can put complete trust in them looking after your

We originally had our 1year old son with a childminder but unfortunately it wasn't working out. It would only take the sight of her house to set him off in full panic mode with full floods of tears and we thought, something really isn't right and we needed to move him asap!
I set about looking for a nursery and was instantly taken in by the services that Kloisters offered, so much so that i didnt look at any others! I sent a message, not really expecting to hear back soon, and was contacted by Nicky and arranged to visit the next day! I was over the moon with everything I saw and at how attentive

Kloisters has a full and interesting timetable of activities for all children and aims to include all children in every activity regardless of attendance. The nursery has the advantage of a link with a forest school and frequently take the children on trips locally and further afield. The food served is of exceptional quality and the snacks are often made by the children themselves. There is a variety of different activities every day to suit each learning style. My son is very happy here and has settled well. He gets on well with staff and other children. His learning progress is well recorded
