Our gardens are individually designed by experienced and qualified garden designers and constructed by our highly experienced team of landscape gardeners. Terra Firma Gardens was set up in Glasgow in 1994 by Susan Gallagher after gaining a BA (Hons) Landscape Architecture.
We began as garden design only service and from 2005 we have employed experienced and skilled construction staff to provide a design and build package, ensuring full quality control and the smooth execution of the work. We now occupy a unique niche in Glasgow for design minded clients, and we place a high value on good quality design as well as robust construction.

Can't express how delighted we are with our new garden. We bought a brand new house which came with an eyesore of a back garden. Susan and her team renovated our back garden 2 years ago this month. It remains as beautiful as ever. The team were fabulous, such great guys who were incredibly hard working, and worked with Susan and our family to deliver a special space that suited our needs and creatively used our space.

An excellent service with great practical design from Susan and excellent workmen who took real pride in their work.
We have a unique old property with some quirky problems which required some inventive solutions and patience. Terra Firma really nailed it, and we have been very pleased with everything from start to finish.

We wanted to completely redesign the back garden and monoblock the front driveway. I had been stalling for a few years as I couldn’t face the upheaval.
I called in Terrafirma. My concerns melted away. Susan listened to my ideas and built on them to give me a lovely garden. She asked for a budget and it was stuck to, even though I changed my mind a couple of times.
The crew worked in all weather and were a delight to have around. The work was completed in time.
I would definitely use again and recommend.
