Services
If your school need to implement problem solving and team building skills into the curriculum, The Problem Solving Company can initiate tailored school activity days to fit your needs, and complement your existing school ethos. Do your staff complain that they do not have the skills, confidence or time to improve investigation work?
Stress reduction through outdoor activity. For instance our Outdoor Team Building Days can help to reduce stress and anxiety with physical activity releasing the feel good endorphins. We encourage physical activity throughout our team building and workshop days. Learning outside the classroom helps this strategy where ever possible.
For the many schools that look for activity days each year, there will be a few questions that you may wish to ask before making a booking. We have chosen the most common queries and answered them in brief below. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any other questions you may have. Our headquarters is in Derbyshire.
All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the activities and all staff commented on how the delivery of all tasks was fantastic. The idea of the day was to enthuse children that maths can be fun - this definitely came across! Teachers were extremely positive. They really enjoyed watching the group dynamics and two of them mentioned that they saw potential in a couple of children that they had previously thought were weaker in maths.
There are many schools that we visit each year, with some visits going back to the first year we visited schools in 2007. For many schools our yearly visit is an integral part of their school induction process. This is at various entry points. For Example; transition from Year 6 to 7 in state school; moving from Prep School to Senior School in the private sector.

We are a small school in Derbyshire who has frequently taken the opportunity to have the Problem Solving Company to work with our children. We have used their workshops with all age ranges for friendship days, anti-bullying, maths weeks and transition purposes. The staff are excellent with the children; challenging when needed yet supportive when necessary.
It was easy for us as staff and the children are always asking when they are coming back.

Hired this company for a fun day for the girls. Afterwards, the student's complained that it was unengaging and they would have preferred to have a regular sports day like the year before. It is overpriced and you can organise something more enjoyable for less cost. The pupils also found the activities more stressful than fun. However, the staff seemed very happy and professional.
