Probably the best Indian meal I have ever had. The menu sounded amazing, it was so hard to chose, I was happy with what I went with the taste of the food was so good. It was a good portion. Some may class it to be slightly on the more expensive side. But for me worth every penny. I would definitely go back here without a worry. Try this place and you will not be disappointed.

Somewhat unusual. High class Indian restaurant with some very interesting dishes. Heavily staffed so service was very good indeed. No waiting at all. Very popular on a Thursday night. By 8 pm it was nearly full . Always a good sign. A wide variety of ingredients were used. The poppadoms were large portions with no less than five different sauces. The beef medallions were absolutely superb. Perfectly cooked through with nice sauces. The pot lamb biryani was tasty and unusual. But there were three large hard seeds in it which was unexpected. All portions were generous. The meal cost about 25 percent

This place is excellent. I had made a reservation that they apparently didn't receive but told us to come back in half an hour. It was worth returning. The food was delicious, we all had different things and all were good. The service was prompt, efficient and over all friendly except the did keep deferring to the men in our group. Do note that they serve you a delicious appetizer & sauce platter without request but you do pay a modest price for it.

A truly horrendous place to eat, I suffered horrific food poisoning after eating the red king prawn lababdor curry. The shellfish must have been off and the sauce was sweet & dire. Not to mention one of the waitresses was sour too, Sunday night I suppose, didn't want to be there. Please do not come here, your digestive system will suffer!!!

I was going to go past it and onto eatery that sounded less pretentious from early reviews, but it was pouring rain on a Sunday night, and the ambience through the window looked warm and welcoming, so I went in.... and I am so glad! Now admittedly being by myself I only had one main dish with no starter, the old Delhi style curry with chicken, but it was outstanding. Curry, cream and honey. Yum! My dessert, cinnamon poached pear with currant ice cream was perhaps more British than Indian, but the subtle flavors definitely hint at a finer palate than I associate with typically English food. Anyway

Awesome service. Definitely upscale dining. You'll find Anokaa in the city center, up or down one of the streets (honestly it's so hard to make out what street you're on in this country). Male servers in traditional Indian garb seat you and place napkins on your lap. It's like you're on the VIP list here.
We ordered the Old Delhi Style Chicken Curry and Street Style Beef Vindaloo, each plate came with a serving of rice. We ordered a side of naan. The food came out at the right time and at the right temperature with all the right spices. The place is a tad pricey but

This is a clean, modern, and friendly restaurant. The service is excellent and the menu extensive. I had the beef vindaloo and it was served with rice. Portions are certainly adequate and the selection of pickles served with the poppadoms was very good. The wine list was broad, and local beers were available as well as traditional Asian beers.
The ambiance is great, and there is plenty of room at the tables. The toilets are clean and modern, but are upstairs with an original water feature en route.
Prices are pretty average, but the food is above average.

Service (4): prompt, polite, and attentive without hovering; could have been slightly more personal. I'm not sure how knowledgable the waitstaff are about the ingredients and menu, but we were in a bit of a hurry, so that could've been our fault. Overall, they seemed like nice guys eager for us to enjoy our meal... and we did.
Ambience (4): modern, medium-sized, not too noisy
Food (4.7): Indian food with an unexpected twist. The dishes we had seemed clearly, authentically Indian-inspired, but contained unique and unexpected ingredients that complemented and enhanced the traditional

We went for the buffet lunch, so maybe didn't get the best sampling of what they can do. The food was pretty mediocre, and the drinks we ordered to go with the meal took a really long time to arrive.
I would agree with the prior review though that the interior and the server's outfits were lovely, my main disappointment was with the food.

We ate here for the first time tonight. We had the seafood medley to start, lite, but visually beautiful and fantastic flavors. We split the tandoori lamb chops, what a fantastic treat. This is the best restaurant I have eaten at anywhere in my UK travels and tops 99 percent of the ones I have eaten at in the US. Don't miss this restaurant. The staff is very attentive, did separate checks for our party of 12, what more could you ask for?

Anokaa means 'something out of the ordinary' and this Indian restaurant with-a-twist truly is. The decor is modern and feels intimate and the clever use of lighting, especially on the screen wall and bubble tanks, is really special. The menu is varied and they will happily accommodate requests. Executive chef, Puban Kumar Bhaniyar, has designed an intriguing blend of flavours that make menu decisions very difficult. The medley of canapés starter was delicious and I followed that with Tiger prawns with a Kerala-influenced sauce. The dessert menu was far and away the best I have seen
