Established in 1965, A Rhodes Haulage originally started out in general haulage. Since then, we have become a leading name in the road haulage industry. We have progressed to become a major partner in the portable building sector and we also regularly undertake specialist work with abnormal loads or unusual consignments.
Over the last decade, we have invested heavily in lorry-mounted cranes. This provides greater flexibility for our customers and improved delivery times. Our crane fleet ranges from 55 tonnes/metre up to 150 tonnes/metre on a mixture of Rigid and Articulated vehicles. Our management team follow closely every contract we undertake, from the initial site survey through to the final delivery.

Services
We specialise in the movement of portable buildings, machinery, generators, glass and timber as well as moving general haulage goods. We offer vehicles on a short-term and long-term contract hire basis, be it for 1 day or a year and beyond. Each contract is reviewed individually and we will purchase additional vehicles/equipment if needed.
We have a large range of lorry-mounted cranes/hiabs at our disposal. Our range of hiabs is one of the most impressive in the UK, ranging from a 42T/M Copma to a huge 150T/M Effer. Out of our 25 vehicles, the fleet consists of 13 hiabs. These are on Rigid vehicles, Articulated vehicles, and Rigid & Drawbar-trailer vehicles, making us specialists in this area of road haulage.

We hired Rhodes Haulage to move a very rare wagon turntable for us. It was so poorly loaded it fell off the lorry and was damaged. Getting it repaired has left a registered charity £6,000 out of pocket due to their incompetence. We would never use them again and if the load is important to you I would recommend you don't either.
