Services
Martin has been practicing for 35 years, and uses traditional osteopathy but specialises in Cranial Osteopathy, a gentle method of releasing chronic tensions in the body, which can be caused by a variety of health problems. Martin also practices at Gareth Butler and Associates at 96 Clarence Road, Windsor on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Osteopathy specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical problems of the spine and joints. It recognises the importance of the link between the structure of the human body and the way it functions. The most commonly treated conditions are back and neck pain - but the scope is far wider. Osteopaths focus on the body's skeleton and joint function along with the underlying muscles, soft tissue and internal organs.
Chiropractic specialises in mechanical disorders of joints, particularly those of the spine, and their effects on the nervous system. The term chiropractic is derived from two Greek works and denotes treatment by hand or manipulation. Chiropractic, which celebrated its centenary in 1995, is now the third largest independent primary healing profession in the western world, after medicine and dentistry.
Solution focused hypnotherapy can help individuals make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Hypnotherapy looks at what you want to achieve, focusing on the present and future and not on the past. Looking at your preferred future, what would be better if your problem had improved and what would have changed.
Chiropodists/podiatrists specialise in assessing, diagnosing and treating abnormalities of the lower limb. In the average lifetime our feet will carry us 70,000 miles often in unsuitable footwear. It is not surprising that many people will suffer from foot disorders at some stage during their life, ranging from minor to more major problems.
