All our dentists adhere to the rules governing the profession under strict guidance from the General Dental Council (GDC) "Standards for Dental Professionals". After being with Patrick Rea at Sandown Dental for many years I recently had three crowns and three front teeth built up. The professionalism and cleanliness, especially through the pandemic, has been notable and very much welcomed.
From my initial consultation to my final appointment, Dr Patrick Rea and his staff at Sandown Dental & Implant Clinic have been very welcoming, approachable and professional throughout. Dr Rea explained each stage fully and simply, which reassured me immensely as I was slightly apprehensive and nervous about the procedure of dental implants.
I had the best experience, such a friendly practice, all my treatment needs were explained and they did an excellent job fixing my teeth. I couldn't recommend the practice enough! After some research I attended Sandown Dental practice to see if they could fix my bridge. My previous dentist had told me that it would be a difficult and painful process. I found this not to be the case. Over just two visits my smile has been transformed and it was totally pain free. I am so pleased with the result. My only regret is that I should have done it sooner. I started my journey with Sandown Dental in August, after wanting composite bonding for years. I was a bit worried and nervous however I felt right at ease from the first consultation.
I went for enlighten whitening treatment for 2 weeks at home followed by a 40 minute in chair whitening, and then back for bonding today to close the gap in my two front teeth. Patrick Rea has restored me. I lost a tooth from the front right area which became infected during the first lockdown and the infection proceeded to eat the bone in that area until there was nothing left. But I wanted an implant even so. Patrick Rea replaced the bone carefully until he was happy with it, placed the implant in stages and today has attached the most perfect crown. Just finished treatment at Sandown Dental. The whole experience was brilliant from start to finish.
Janice was wonderful, always explained everything she was doing and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. In the space of a year Janice was able to completely fit my braces and typically seen me every 6 weeks for check-ups and tightening.
I would 100% recommend going private for braces, the level of care you get is unmatched compared to the NHS run Orthodontists.
Chloe on reception is an unsung hero in Sandown, whether it’s 8am or 5pm she always has the most welcoming smile

Lost a front crown and it could not be replaced so had to wear a denture. Absolutely hated it. Finally decided to check out dental implants. Googled a few Dentists and was impressed with Sandown Dental & implant clinic. Booked a consultation with Patrick Rea. He explained the treatment plan and exactly what happened at each stage. I decided there and then to go ahead. It was quite a long journey but Patrick was brilliant and it was well worth it. Had a free appointment with Tracy the hygienist who showed me how to look after the implant. I found all the staff friendly and welcoming. My treatment
